Premises:
BB Cancabaia Parma is part of what used to be a court for nobility dating back to the 17th century, situated in the foothills, 15 minutes from Parma but immersed in total rurality.

Guests can enjoy a warm but discreet family atmosphere in a quiet and relaxing environment in the middle of the countryside.

Staying at CANCABAIA BB is ideal for the tourist, for business people, for families with children and for animal-lovers who prefer to travel with their pets.

Guests can visit the family farm area and discover how the famous Parmesan Cheese is produced.

Bedrooms:
Within the original court structure, we have recently built three double bedrooms, each with a name: Acacia, Ciliegia, Margherita and Lavanda.

The bedrooms are in a part of the farmhouse, reserved especially for guests, with a private entrance and with complete freedom to come and go as is desired.

Furnishings are simple and comfortable designed to make guests feel at home.

Breakfast, served on a large and sunny veranda and weather permitting under the arches of the court quadrangle, is varied and plentiful with natural, home made products such as jam, cakes, fresh bread, honey, fresh farm milk, barley beverage, seasonal fruits, salami produced in the area and our own Parmesan Cheese.

Cancabaia BB is open to everyone travelling with their pets. Cats and dogs are accepted on condition notification is given when making the reservation.

Guests can relax and talk on the large terrace and enjoy the overall quietness of the location.

There are plenty of interesting walks both in the nearby woods or in the surrounding countryside.

There is a large parking area inside the courtyard.

Conditions

Cancellation conditions (except for non-refundable rates)

You may cancel your booking up to 10 days before the check-in date. In the case of failure to show or late cancellation, you will be charged a penalty of 50% of the total cost of the booking

For non-refundable discounted rates, when the facility requires it, the guest must pay in advance as indicated to complete the booking. Payment is not refunded in the event of a cancellation.

Upon arrival we were enthusiastically welcomed by their lovely dogs Mira and Kira. We really enjoyed our stay at the B&B Cancabaia Parma. Nice and calm. We had a nice room with private bathroom. The contact between Bruno and Simona went very well right from the booking. Once we arrived at our destination, they received us in a very friendly and hospitable manner and we immediately felt at home. They are really good hosts. Although we did not use their breakfast, we have heard from others that their breakfast must be fantastic. We can recommend a stay with them to everyone.

Stayed based on recommendation from family. Enjoyable two days there, very comfortable room and exceptional hospitality. Bruno and Simona were fantastic hosts and we felt very welcome. Bruno was the Tour Guide for the Parmigiano factory (excellent) and also organized the prosciutto tour for us. Take their recommendations for local places to eat as they know best! We highly recommend this place, nothing is too much trouble for them, they enriched our stay near Parma.

Bruno and Simona were fantastic hosts who were so helpful in arranging local tours (parmesan, prosciutto, balsamic), a cooking class and dinner recommendations/reservations. And breakfasts were amazing - especially the homemade yogurt and delicious eggs! We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would highly recommend Cancabaia B&B!

A wonderful experience, the breakfast was really amazing. I enjoyed the recommendations of Bruno. I never stayed at such a quiet place - during the night you can hear your heart beating and see stars you've never seen before.

Bruno and Simona went well above and beyond being good hosts. They are delightful people. Bruno offers excellent sightseeing and restaurant suggestions. He also personally provided an interesting and educational tour of a local Parmiagiana Reggjana cheese factory.

We spent two wonderful nights at this B&B. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The owners Bruno and Simona were fantastic hosts. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Simona made home made pastries and would also cook eggs or omelettes. They also served local Parmigiano cheese, prosciutto and breads garnished with local Balsamic vinegar. Bruno was helpful in every way giving us directions and suggesting fabulous local restaurants. This was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Bruno and Simona.

We enjoyed the Parma countryside so much, thanks to the owners of this quaint B&B and farm, Bruno and Simona. We had been traveling around Italy and were tired of tourist hotels. This was a true look into Italian hospitality and it was lovely. Don't miss the Parmesan cheese and prosciutto tours of the highest quality foods from the area, delicious black pig ham, etc, Bruno took us himself, what a treat. We also experienced delicious homemade Italian food at a trattoria where we were one of three couples to dine there for the evening. So delicious and special. We experienced the Waldorf Astoria in Rome and traveled Florence, but this was special and unique. Thank you Bruno and Simona!:).

We recently spent two nights at this excellent B&B. Bruno and Simone were the friendliest hosts that we met on our long trip! Lovely homely atmosphere. Bruno gave us coffee and home made biscuits on arrival and later took us on a tour of a local Parmesan factory this was fascinating. He recommended nice local restaurants. They both spoke very good English. The breakfasts were sublime. Home made cakes, home made yoghurt, ricotta, preserves. Lovely free range eggs, boiled and scrambled (with Parmesan cheese). The cherries were so ripe. They were the best fruit of out trip. Can't recommend this B&B enough!

Bruno and Simone were outstanding hosts. Upon arrival I told Bruno were not able to find a place for lunch and he immediately made a call and insisted we follow him in our car as the place was hard to find. The ristorante was about to close for the afternoon and Bruno arraigned for us to eat and even interpreted the menu. The ristorante was outstanding. Simone and Bruno were always available to answer question, offer suggestions and give directions. This was a super agriturismo experience!

My teenage son and I stayed with Bruno and Simone this summer. We were very interested in learning about local food production and cooking. Not only were Bruno and Simone very hospitable, but they were also able to arrange a local cooking lesson with a friend of theirs as well as tours of local food production facilities (Parmesan cheese, Parma ham and balsamic vinegar). We spent five nights in the region and it was the highlight of our trip. Many thanks to both Bruno and Simone an we hope to visit again!

Simona e Bruno sono veramente accoglienti, la struttura è perfetta per chi cerca un po' di relax, circondata dal verde é vicinissima a Parma (città molto carina), la colazione é ottima, torte preparate da Simona, pane marmellata, frutta tè, caffè, succhi. Ce n'è per tutti i gusti, Bruno ci ha fatto assaggiare il parmigiano. Oltre a tutto questo WiFi, frigo a disposizione camera grande con letto comodissimo, lo consiglieremo. Grazie ancora.

B&B Cancabaia est un vrai bonheur! En premier lieu, je dois complimenter les propriétaires Bruno et Simona qui sont d'une sympathie rare, très serviables et à l'écoute du client (lors de notre parcours italien, un B&B s'est désisté et nous étions bien ennuyé: Bruno et Simona ont tout fait pour nous trouver un B&B pour notre prochaine étape, et je les en remercie mille fois). Cancabaia est une belle demeure restaurée avec goût, et où rien ne manque: que ce soit dans la chambre spacieuse ou la belle salle de bains, nous nous y sentons comme à la maison! Quant au petit déjeuner, il est exquis: charcuterie et fromage du terroir, pain et gâteaux fait maison et délicieux, croissants, confitures, fruits, et j'en oublie… Un vrai régal de roi. Un conseil: si vous cherchez un B&B dans la région, vous avez là un petit bonheur qui vous attend. N'y passez pas à côté.

If your desire is to rest surrounded by fabulous views, tranquility, and have breakfast with the best homemade sweets, Parmesan cheese, ham (jamon) etc. in Lesignano de' Bagni you have to come here, highly recommended, it is also worth mentioning the excellent attention of the hosts Simona and Bruno! In addition to the already known kindness and availability of Bruno and Simona, in addition to the already known excellent and abundant breakfast, we also took advantage of their useful suggestions, one for all (in addition to those on food!): from the room we could observe the neighboring villa which they told us belonged to a illustrious neighbor and is now home to the Mario Lanfranchi Foundation. Although the guided tour was not available on the website, they advised us to call and we had the availability of a curator to open the villa for us. The structure is very beautiful and characteristic, in a quiet area. The owners are very kind, welcoming, and ready to meet any requests. The rooms are furnished in style and the beds very comfortable. I also appreciated the absence of the TV in the room, not to disturb the tranquility and relaxation. The breakfast is excellent, with typical sweets made with locally sourced flour, also paying attention to any intolerances. We will definitely come back with more time to better explore the area, such as the beautiful castle of Torrechiara, where scenes from the movie "Ladyhawke" were filmed.

A truly wonderful experience on the gentle slopes of the first hills south of Parma (about 20 minutes by car). The property is part of a historic farmhouse, still a working farm, a short distance from the Magnani-Rocca Foundation and the Torricella Castle. Bruno and Simona are exceptional hosts in terms of kindness and availability. The room met our expectations and the breakfast was truly superb, with homemade cakes and jams and a wide range of options (both sweet and savory). We will come back!

Bruno and Simona are two really nice people, they made us feel really good, besides explaining to us well the traditional vinegar production. The structure is very beautiful, also suitable for large groups of people. Special mention for breakfast, one of the best we have tried, with cakes made expressly for us, tastings of Parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar (aged 37 years!) and everything desirable. Really well done! We will return.

Bruno and Simona welcomed us magnificently. I had asked for a cot for my baby and they provided it excellently and at no extra cost. The structure is very beautiful and immersed in greenery, you can breathe pure air. The location is great for visiting the villages nearby where you can taste ham and Parmesan cheese. One point deserving a perfect score is the breakfast which, besides being abundant, was of high quality. The products were mostly artisanal and Mrs. Simona prepared delicious cakes. We will definitely come back!

We stayed for two nights on our way back from Marche and felt at home. Available, friendly, professional managers. Two dogs that have captured the heart of my child... cuddly and playful! Cancabaia is a simple, nice, very clean and relaxing place and Simona and Bruno pamper you. Superlative breakfast, all organic! Their balsamic vinegar, delicious, is produced by them! Bruno gave us many great tips on visiting Torrechiara Castle and where to buy delicious Parmesan cheese and wine! If you want to feel at home even on holiday, immersed in the countryside and relaxation, this place is perfect.

Cancabaia is in a really beautiful location, close to the first hills of the Apennines, among cultivated fields and in the center of a region rich in cultural and gastronomic attractions. The managers are friendly, we slept very well in the silence and comfort of the rooms. I recommend this property!

Kind and welcoming hosts, always available to guests. Excellent advice and excellent structure. The TV is missing but considering the tranquility and silence of the rooms, it would only be a disturbance. Sometimes you need to disconnect and then there are smartphones. Typical country farmhouse, where the last hilly slopes give way to the plain; it seems made to host, it conveys tranquility even though it is not isolated on the eagle's peak, it conveys familiarity and a sense of home, with the dogs' parties in the courtyard, and obviously with the discreet friendliness of Bruno and Simona: their breakfasts, the chats about the area and things to do around, the spoonful of balsamic vinegar to start the day. Friends, even if you have never seen them before; comfortable rooms, not large, but the price is more than fair; a place where you can only feel good, and if you have the time, that terraced veranda with sofas is more than a temptation.

Beautiful structure immersed in greenery, ideal for those who want to relax in the peace of the countryside while being close to a big city, and especially for those like us who travel with a dog. We all had a great time! The kindness, availability, and courtesy of Simona and Bruno are unparalleled. Spacious room (our big dog was very comfortable), extremely clean environments, comfortable bed, air conditioning that saved our lives during these scorching hot days, not to mention the very welcome bottles of fresh water that we found in the room's fridge. The breakfast was spectacular and truly abundant. Cakes with authentic, genuine flavors, all made by Simona, with flour directly from their fields. Bruno offered us a selection of local cheeses and cold cuts at 0 km, unforgettable. Precious help came from the directions on places to visit, roads to take, and places to enjoy traditional cuisine. Thank you Simona and Bruno, we hope to be able to visit you again soon.

I stayed at the B&B Cancabaia in Lesignano de Bagni di Parma for 3 days. Excellent B&B immersed in the Parma countryside, where there is silence and you sleep very well, the room well taken care of and clean. In the morning, excellent breakfast served by the owner Bruno who is keen to give advice on places to visit and local restaurants for dinner. Guys, excellent advice because the Torrechiara Castle and its village a few kilometers from the B&B is a must-see and then you can enjoy an aperitif or a great dinner at the "Taverna del Castello" with a fabulous view. Beautiful Parma with its monuments and parks, then there is plenty to do based on the time a traveler has available. Finally, a great evening at the PUB "La vecchia volpe" in Lesignano de Bagni, frequented by nice people, good music, and very good food. What can I say? Parma is beautiful but the choice to have spent 3 days in this area was spot on. To return! Regards, Tatiana.

The stay at Bruno and Simona's, even though short, was extremely pleasant and enlightening. The room was very cozy, spacious, and very comfortable even for our big dog. Simona, knowing that I was vegan, prepared some delicious and unforgettable cakes for me. On September 10, 2016 we stayed at B&B Cancabaia. This was our second visit. The hosts are charming and attentive, Bruno and Simona are so very helpful with info about the Parma area. The property is beautiful, the rooms are clean and very comfortable. Many toiletry products are available. The breakfast is a delight! So many choices: meats, cheeses, fruits, baked goods, yogurt, breads, oatmeal, granola, coffee, tea, etc, the list goes on. We hope to return soon.

Grazie a Simona e Bruno per lo splendido soggiorno nel loro B&B. Difficile trovare difetti nella struttura, nel luogo e soprattutto nella gentilezza e affabile ospitalità dei gestori. Se ci capiterà di ripassare nel parmense ci fermeremo da loro anche a costo di dormire sotto il portico o in giardino. Ciao da Pier Gio e Tina.

Posto meraviglioso e un'accoglienza stupenda. Bruno e Simona sono dei perfetti padroni di casa, cordiali cortesi simpatici disponibili e gioviali. Stare con loro è come sentirsi a casa. Divine le colazioni di Simona e la compagnia di Bruno brillante e socievole. Abbiamo ritrovato l'ambiente di casa e passato un week end piacevolissimo con questa stupenda famiglia. Area Collina

The area surrounding Cancabaia B & B is very interesting. Guests can visit castles such as Torrecchiara, Felino, Sala Baganza and Montechiarugolo.
For keen walkers and hikers, our B & B is an excellent stop-off point for those wishing to visit the “Parco dei Cento Laghi,” situated in the Emilia-Tuscan Appenines.
Two minutes away from Cancabaia B & B, art-lovers can visit the Fondazione Magnani Rocca with its many works of art as well as the beautiful surrounding park. At only a short distance is the beautiful town and dukedom of Parma, with its splendid cathedral and baptistery as well as churches and interesting architecture. Parma offers wonderful shopping facilities and has a weekly open air market. Because the origin and production of many typical and high quality food products are concentrated in the area, the European Commission in Brussels, chose Parma as the headquarters for the EC Food Authority.
A very beatiful swimming pool is a two minutes from our house, and it’s possible playing golf in Sala Baganza , riding and walking on the hills
