Villa Gigina is situated on a family-owned plot of approximately 1000 square meters and is deeply rooted in a history closely tied to the local area. Once the stable and workshop of the grandfather, a master mason, the building has been rebuilt after an earthquake and now welcomes guests in an environment that retains the charm of its origins, enhanced by modern comforts and a strong artisanal spirit. Within the property, there is a country house, two apartments, and a woodworking and sculpture workshop, which serves as the creative heart of the villa, where many of the furnishings were crafted.

The apartment is characterized by an elegant country style, inspired by the period from the 1920s to the 1960s, and offers warm and inviting spaces, making it perfect for larger groups. The fully equipped kitchen allows for hosting convivial lunches and dinners for up to eight people, while an outdoor barbecue invites guests to enjoy grilled local products. The four bedrooms, each featuring a dominant color, are equipped with beds topped with memory foam mattresses and pillows designed for a deep and restorative sleep. The living area includes a 55-inch 4K television with streaming services and the option to connect personal devices, along with a well-stocked library offering hundreds of volumes, perfect for relaxing moments.

The outdoor spaces enhance the enjoyment of the stay in every season. The completely fenced garden is suitable for those traveling with pets, while the apartment has exclusive access to the internal courtyard. The entrance is independent, accessed through a gate, with parking available within the property.

Great care has been given to eco-sustainability. Electricity is generated by a photovoltaic system, hot water is provided by solar thermal energy, and a historic wood stove complements the heating system. Irrigation water comes from a private well, in line with a commitment to respecting resources and the environment.

The villa is located in San Gregorio, strategically positioned for those who wish to experience nature while also having easy access to local amenities. It is the first village upon arriving from Pescara, allowing quick access to both the historic center and some of the most picturesque villages in the area. Within walking distance, there is an organic farm, a riding school that organizes excursions, and the well-known local bakery. Supermarkets, pharmacies, and essential services are just a short drive away, and in the surrounding countryside, it is possible to purchase locally grown agricultural products.

On request, workshops related to woodworking can be organized, aimed at introducing guests to the craftsmanship and creativity that have always characterized the essence of Villa Gigina, a residence that combines memory, nature, and attention to detail.

Hey, I'm Andrea

The owner resides on the premises and is a woodworking artisan and sculptor. He has an in-depth knowledge of the villa and the surrounding area, having personally overseen the reconstruction and maintenance of the spaces, as well as having created many of the furnishings. He is available for information and advice about the area and, by arrangement, can provide experiences and workshops related to woodworking, offering guests a direct connection to the area's most authentic spirit.

Located on the outskirts of Pescara, it serves as an ideal starting point for those looking to alternate between nature, culture, and amenities, allowing easy movement between rural landscapes, historic centers, and more vibrant areas. Its location enables visitors to reach both the urban core and some of the most charming villages in the surrounding area in just a few minutes, making the stay dynamic and diverse.

The surrounding environment is predominantly agricultural, offering direct contact with the rhythms of the land. Nearby, one can find farms, local produce, and organic initiatives, where fresh, locally-sourced products can be purchased, reflecting the authentic culinary traditions of the region. The countryside around the village invites relaxing walks, outdoor activities, and moments of tranquility away from traffic, in a landscape filled with fields, trees, and open views.

Just a short distance from the property, there are activities that enhance the stay, such as a riding school that organizes horseback excursions and local artisan businesses. The village bakery is a go-to spot for bread, pastries, and savory specialties, perfect for enjoying genuine aromas and flavors every day. At the same time, within a few minutes’ drive, you can reach an area with supermarkets, a pharmacy, a para-pharmacy, and other essential services, ensuring convenience even for longer stays.
