Au Coin du Village

Au Coin du Village is a charming family-run bed and breakfast located in the municipality of Saint-Nicolas, at an altitude of 1,230 meters. This establishment, a traditional alpine home owned by the same family for generations, has been recently renovated to provide a relaxing and peaceful stay.

Surrounded by nature and basking in sunlight for much of the day, the B&B offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, from Grivola to Ruitor, as well as the picturesque Bois de la Tour pine forest. The three rooms, each with a private balcony and personalized furnishings, are equipped with linens, towels, and hairdryers. The Abricot and Fraise rooms can be combined if needed to create an apartment with a cozy living room, perfect for larger families or groups of friends.

The breakfast buffet, featuring both sweet and savory options, changes daily to cater to guests' preferences and includes locally sourced, zero-kilometer products, with fruits picked from the family garden and cold cuts and cheeses obtained directly from local producers. Upon request, menus can be prepared to accommodate specific dietary intolerances.

Guests can enjoy private parking, storage for sports equipment, and Wi-Fi access. Pets are not allowed. The establishment has a partnership with the Pré-Saint-Didier Thermal Baths for those wishing to indulge in wellness moments.

Just one kilometer from the B&B, there is a 5-kilometer illuminated cross-country skiing trail, as well as a bobsled track, a playground, tennis courts, five-a-side soccer, and bocce. The area also offers museums, the Bois de la Tour pine forest with a picnic area, bicycle and winter gear rentals, and numerous hiking trails.

In the summer, the municipality of Saint-Nicolas comes alive with events and activities, including the Wild Game Festival, Santì, and the traditional Veillà di Vens, which celebrates local culture and cuisine.

The location allows for exploration of the beautiful Grand Paradis Mountain Community, featuring castles, alpine huts like Mont Fallère with its open-air museum, the artistic path ATTRAVERSART, climbing areas, rafting, adventure and wildlife parks, the municipal swimming pool in Villeneuve, and various snow activities such as cross-country skiing, ski mountaineering, and snowshoeing. The city of Aosta is only 16 kilometers away.
