Nestled in the tranquility of Pompiod, in the village of Jovencan, the B&B Gran Paradiso welcomes guests to an ancient rural residence, “La Meison de Rose,” which has been skillfully renovated to maintain its original charm. Its prime location provides a stunning view that stretches from the glaciers of Château Blanc to the surrounding vineyards, offering a stay immersed in nature.

Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, the B&B serves as an excellent starting point for hiking or biking excursions. Nearby attractions include the castles of Sarre and Sarriod de la Tour, as well as the picturesque historic center of Aosta. For skiing aficionados, the Pila ski resort and the Nordic ski trails in the Gran Paradiso valleys are easily accessible. The owner, an experienced Alpine guide, is happy to recommend hiking routes and activities to help guests fully explore the Aosta Valley.

The warm and inviting atmosphere of the B&B results from a careful restoration of original materials, featuring antique woods and high-quality Aosta furnishings that enhance the spaces. Breakfast, served in the communal area with reclaimed wooden tables, includes homemade products such as artisanal jams, locally sourced honey, and traditional sweets like Sacher cake and Tarte des Anciens Remèdes.

Open year-round, the B&B Gran Paradiso is the ideal choice for families and sports enthusiasts seeking an authentic experience amid nature, culture, and tradition. The hosts speak Italian, French, English, and German.
Rooms and Rates
Breakfast is served in the communal area, a cozy space furnished with antique wood. The buffet features a wide array of fresh and homemade products: white and whole grain bread, artisanal cakes, natural and fruit yogurts, cereals, and jams made by Karin using fruit from the family orchards, without any thickeners or added sugars.

You will also find seasonal fresh fruit, local honey, milk, coffee brewed in a pot and filtered, a variety of teas and herbal infusions, as well as fruit juices. Upon request, a savory breakfast is available, including eggs, ham, and local cheeses.

The cakes change with the seasons, ranging from Sacher cake to apple and almond cake, as well as cherry or plum tarts and chestnut and walnut cake. All preparations are made with wholesome ingredients, including fresh eggs from the family-raised hens.

For specific dietary needs, gluten-free breakfasts are available upon request.

Hey, I'm Karin Elisabeth

Karin, originally from Austria but a resident of Aosta Valley by choice, has a deep passion for hospitality and nature. She personally prepares every dessert and jam that we serve at breakfast. Corrado, an Alpine Guide of Gran Paradiso, is well-versed in the Aosta Valley, a region he has been exploring since childhood. When we have free time, we enjoy outdoor activities and short hikes together, in addition to taking care of our home and garden.
