Nestled in the lush greenery of the Salento countryside, the Aia Grande Bed & Breakfast is a peaceful retreat located between Uggiano la Chiesa and Casamassella, just a few kilometers from the sea. Its prime location allows for quick access to the beautiful cove of Porto Badisco and the historic town of Otranto.

The establishment is a newly built two-story villa, surrounded by a spacious garden featuring a swimming pool, palm trees, and fruit trees, creating an ideal setting for relaxation. Breakfast, consisting of homemade pastries and local specialties, is served on a terrace overlooking the pine forest, where guests can also take advantage of a barbecue area.

The ancient threshing floor, dating back to the early 1900s, is a distinctive feature of the B&B and reflects the agricultural heritage of Salento. Once used for wheat threshing, it now symbolizes the area's farming history.

The six rooms, including doubles, triples, and quads, offer modern comforts such as private bathrooms, hairdryers, air conditioning, heating, satellite TV, refrigerators, and free Wi-Fi. Each room features a balcony or terrace with views of the countryside, providing guests with a nature-immersed and tranquil experience.

Uggiano la Chiesa is a charming municipality located just 3 km from the coast and 5 km from the beautiful Otranto, the easternmost town in Italy. Among its architectural treasures are the main church, the crypt of Saint Helena, an ancient underground mill, and a captivating medieval castle. In the surrounding area, there are many cycling routes that lead from the inland to the stunning beaches of Salento. Personally, my family and I enjoy spending time by the sea at Porto Badisco, a unique cove famous for its crystal-clear waters.
