The countryside surrounding Salve is one of the most authentic corners of lower Salento, featuring a landscape filled with ancient olive trees, prickly pears, dry stone walls, and old rural paths that narrate centuries of agricultural traditions. Here, time seems to pass more slowly, surrounded by the scents of rosemary, myrtle, and Mediterranean scrub, making it an ideal setting for those looking to balance beach time with the pleasure of tranquility and nature.

Just a few minutes away are the famous beaches of Pescoluse, known as the "Maldives of Salento" for their expansive golden sands and clear waters with shallow, sandy bottoms. Along this stretch of coast, beach clubs, coves, and spacious areas invite visitors to enjoy the crystalline waters that define the Ionian side of the Salentine peninsula.

The nearby village of Salve boasts a charming historic center filled with quiet alleys, ancient churches, and squares that still exude the genuine life of the South. Worth visiting in the vicinity are Presicce-Acquarica, recognized among the most beautiful villages in Italy and famous for its underground olive oil mills, and Specchia, one of the most picturesque historic centers in the region, characterized by elegant noble palaces and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

Continuing south leads to Santa Maria di Leuca, the southernmost tip of Puglia, where the Lighthouse, the Sanctuary of Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae, and the 19th-century waterfront offer spectacular views at the meeting point of the Ionian and Adriatic Seas. From here, numerous boat excursions set off to explore the stunning sea caves that dot the coastline.

Nature enthusiasts can explore the scenic trails of the Otranto-Santa Maria di Leuca Regional Natural Park and the Bosco di Tricase, while those wishing to immerse themselves in local culture will find festivals, patron saint celebrations, markets, and culinary events that enliven the towns throughout the summer season.

Salve's location also allows for easy access to both coasts of Salento, enabling visitors to alternate between the long sandy beaches of the Ionian Sea and the rugged cliffs shaped by the Adriatic Sea. This area is rich in history, traditions, flavors, and diverse landscapes, making it perfect for experiencing a varied and engaging vacation without sacrificing the serenity of the Salentine countryside.
