Contrada San Lorenzo, where the establishment is situated, is the last inhabited outpost before the scenery transforms into the heights and dense forests of the Pollino. Here, nature is the main attraction: expansive plateaus, tranquil valleys, clear streams, and majestic peaks exceeding 2,000 meters create a backdrop for a unique ecosystem. Just a few kilometers away, Piano Pedarreto provides the opportunity to immerse oneself in mountainous environments at over 1,200 meters above sea level, perfect for hiking, snowshoeing, and winter cross-country skiing.

Numerous trails originate from this area, leading to some of the park's most famous natural wonders, such as the Raganello gorges, ancient beech and maple forests, high-altitude meadows, and especially the spectacular Loricate Pines, a symbol of the Pollino, which cling to the rocks in shapes sculpted by time and wind.

Local products such as the DOP white bean and the red eggplant testify to this, along with the many folk festivals, fairs, and events tied to the seasonal cycles.
