Tenuta Terra Rossa

The Terra Rossa Estate is located in Rossano, an ancient Byzantine city set within the Mediterranean landscape of upper Ionian. Housed in a former 16th-century monastery, this establishment has been converted into a farm and, following careful restoration, now provides a peaceful environment amidst centuries-old olive trees and organic citrus groves.

Situated just five minutes from the sea, the Odissea 2000 water park, the Amarelli Licorice Museum, and the city center, the estate serves as an excellent base for exploring Calabria and southern Basilicata. In about half an hour, you can reach the Sila and the Pollino National Park, while the archaeological sites of Sibari and Paludi and the Ducal Castle of Corigliano are just fifteen minutes away.

The farm spans 50 hectares and produces the extra virgin olive oil known as Dolce di Rossano, as well as lemons, oranges, and clementines. The Renzo family, always focused on the quality and ecological balance of their crops, has received official certifications due to strict inspections. Over the past decade, brothers Cesare and Vincenzo have expanded the business by converting part of the manor into a hospitality venue with a restaurant dedicated to traditional Calabrian cuisine.

The rooms, simply furnished in keeping with farming traditions, offer all modern comforts, including TV, air conditioning, heating, and private bathrooms. Some rooms have sea views, while others overlook the inner courtyard, and each room comes with a covered parking space. Guests can unwind in the large garden, perfect for quiet moments or for children to play.

Breakfast, made with fresh, local ingredients, is served in the summer months under the shade of lemon and orange trees, while in winter it can be enjoyed by the large fireplace. The estate's restaurant features traditional dishes and excellent naturally leavened pizza, highlighting the authentic flavors of the region.

The Tourism Department of the Province of Cosenza has awarded the establishment the highest category rating, recognizing it as one of the local hospitality gems.
