Villa Mimosa is a holiday home set in lush greenery, overlooking the Strait of Messina and the Calabrian coast, just minutes away from the beaches of Capo Vaticano and the historic center of Tropea. Perfect for families or couples seeking relaxation, the property consists of two independent villas, each featuring a private garden, a well-equipped veranda, a barbecue area, and all the amenities for a pleasant stay. The interiors are thoughtfully designed, blending restored antique furnishings with modern functionality, including a fully equipped kitchen, bedrooms with memory foam mattresses, and bright living spaces.

Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious wooded park, a large panoramic swimming pool with sea views, and various communal areas designed for leisure: a playground, barbecue zone, sunbathing area, and even a small farm with animals. The entire property is fenced and accessible via an electric gate, ensuring security and privacy. The pool is shared with the second villa and is maintained daily.

The hillside location allows for easy access by car to the most beautiful beaches of the Costa degli Dei, featuring both equipped and free shorelines, as well as supermarkets, restaurants, and shops just a few minutes away.

Villa Mimosa is managed by Fulvia, who is originally from Piedmont but has adopted Calabria as her home, living on the property with her family. A nature lover and hospitality enthusiast, she personally tends to the garden and discreetly welcomes guests, always available to offer recommendations on places to visit and local specialties to try.

This property is particularly suited for those who wish to experience the outdoors, surrounded by tranquility and natural scenery, without sacrificing comfort and proximity to the main attractions in the area.

Hey, I'm Fulvia

Fulvia is the heart and soul of Villa Mimosa. Originally from the province of Turin, she has chosen to settle in Calabria, captivated by the beauty of the landscape and the warm hospitality of the area. Together with her family, she passionately attends to every detail of the property, from the garden to the furnishings of the cottages, many of which she has restored herself. While she maintains a low profile, she is always ready to provide helpful advice on beaches, restaurants, and local attractions, aiming to make every guest feel as welcome as if they were at home.

Area Mare

Villa Mimosa is located in the heart of the Costa degli Dei, one of the most captivating areas of Calabria, famous for the striking contrast between the deep blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the lush greenery of the Mediterranean scrub. The property sits on a gentle hill overlooking the Strait of Messina, providing stunning views of the Sicilian coastline and, on clear days, even the Aeolian Islands.

Just a few minutes away are the beautiful beaches of Capo Vaticano, renowned for their crystal-clear waters, sandy coves, and ideal underwater landscapes for swimming and snorkeling enthusiasts. The region is dotted with spectacular cliffs, sheltered bays, and quaint fishing villages that retain their authentic charm. Nearby, you can also visit Tropea, regarded as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, with its historic center perched on a cliff, cobblestone streets, artisan shops, and terraces overlooking a sea with Caribbean hues.

The area is rich in history, traditions, and flavors. Surrounding it are farmers' markets, agriturismos, local restaurants, and rural churches. Calabrian cuisine takes center stage here, featuring dishes made with fresh fish, Tropea red onions, ‘nduja, and local cheeses. The region is also an excellent starting point for nature excursions, scenic walks, and visits to the lesser-known, charming inland villages.

Despite its peaceful ambiance, Villa Mimosa is conveniently close to essential services: bakeries, shops, cafes, and supermarkets can be reached within a few minutes. The mild and breezy climate makes for a pleasant stay throughout the year, even during the quieter months when the beauty of the landscape is complemented by the tranquility of nature.
