CasaLora is a charming countryside home located in a scenic spot on the Punta Imperatore promontory on the island of Ischia. Originally intended for grape harvesting, it has been transformed into a cozy Bed & Breakfast surrounded by a vast estate filled with olive trees, citrus fruits, and fruit trees, featuring a garden that provides picturesque corners for relaxation and stunning sunset views.

The rooms, each with a private bathroom, are named with evocative terms such as Pomegranate, Lemon, Pepper, Jasmine, and Lavender. There are also two apartments equipped with kitchens and terraces, as well as a historic suite, the Garibaldi, which commemorates the visit of the national hero. Each accommodation includes a minibar and TV, with many rooms overlooking the garden and the surrounding landscape.

CasaLora boasts a natural Turkish bath fed by the warm underground waters, providing guests with a complete relaxation and wellness experience. The hot tub pool, nestled among the olive trees, enhances a stay of ultimate tranquility.

The cuisine is a standout feature, offering Mediterranean dinners made with fresh ingredients, often sourced from their own production, and served under pergolas during the pleasant seasons. The dishes, prepared according to ancient Neapolitan traditions, celebrate the authentic flavors and aromas of the region.

CasaLora is committed to sustainable tourism, utilizing geothermal energy for heating and hot water, in an environment that values the ecology and natural beauty of the island. It is an ideal destination for those seeking a unique place where relaxation, history, and tradition blend harmoniously with the enchanting landscape of Ischia.
Rooms and Rates
Breakfast at CasaLora is a special occasion, served in the charming living room or under the pergola surrounded by the lush garden. Although our menu typically does not include savory dishes, we are happy to accommodate any specific requests.

Guests can indulge in a generous buffet featuring a variety of hot and cold beverages, toastable bread, crackers, cookies, cereals, yogurt, homemade jams made with fruit from our garden and sugar, local honey, and fresh seasonal fruit.
CasaLora provides its visitors, for those who wish, dishes that embody the typical flavors of the Mediterranean, crafted with fresh ingredients, some of which are grown directly on our farm. The recipes are made according to traditional cooking methods by the hostess, and during the pleasant seasons, they are served under charming pergolas, creating an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness.

Hey, I'm Paolo

In 1997, Mirella Covatta, originally from Milan with Neapolitan roots, converted her family's countryside home in Ischia into a bed and breakfast. This venture was born from her desire to escape city life while staying close to her mother, who had moved to the island. The house, which had always been a gathering place for friends and family, transformed into a warm hospitality business that celebrated love for culture and traditional family cuisine, highlighted by dishes made from fresh garden produce. Today, the management is in the hands of her son Paolo, who, after traveling the world working in development, entertainment, and film, decided to return to Ischia with his wife Leidi and sister-in-law Lucy to raise their children, Isabel and Thiago, surrounded by the island's beauty and traditions.

Area

CasaLora is located in the western part of the island of Ischia, within the municipality of Forio, known for its charming historic center that has remained unspoiled over time. Among the most captivating sites to explore are the Church of Soccorso, dating back to the 16th century and perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, the Torrione, and the other seven lookout towers, as well as the distinctive rock-cut houses carved into the green stone. Nearby, you'll find Mortella, the former residence of composer Sir William Walton, which is now a museum and botanical garden featuring over 300 species of rare plants.

The beaches of Ischia provide a wide range of options to suit all preferences. CasaLora recommends Cartaromana, with its black rocks, the serene beach of the Inglesi, the newly renovated beach of Maronti, and the beautiful beaches of Citara and San Montano, which are home to the Poseidon and Negombo thermal parks, respectively. The Bay of Sorgeto, with its hot springs that flow directly into the sea, and the wild Cava dell’Isola, popular among the youth, complete the beach offerings.

Among the historical treasures of the island are the Aragonese Castle, the “Pilastri” aqueduct from 1580, and the archaeological museum of Pithecusae in Lacco Ameno, which narrates the island's history from prehistoric times to the Roman era. The Islet of Sant’Angelo, linked to the island by a narrow isthmus, retains the charm of yesteryear, despite the remnants of ancient monasteries and lookout towers that were destroyed in the 19th century.

For nature enthusiasts, Ischia offers land and sea excursions that reveal breathtaking views and enchanting scenery, making every visit an unforgettable experience.
