The Country House Antica Dimora del Sole welcomes guests in a historic residence from the late 18th century, expertly restored and surrounded by the greenery of the Cilento National Park. Passionately managed by Raffaele and Nunzia, along with the support of their children Ita and Gio, the establishment is complemented by a small organic farm, reflecting a true love for the land and hospitality.

Located in the historic village of Licusati, the house enjoys a prime position that offers views of the Cilento countryside, with hills gently sloping towards the sea and ancient olive groves. Within a short drive, guests can reach the beautiful beaches of Marina di Camerota and Palinuro, as well as historically and culturally rich sites such as the Certosa di Padula, the archaeological excavations of Velia, and the park’s natural oases.

The property is spread over three levels. On the first floor, there is the reception, a small restaurant area, a bar corner, and the kitchen. The portico and two spacious panoramic terraces provide the perfect setting for breakfast and, during the warm season, for enjoying dinners made with local products and fresh ingredients sourced nearby. The upper floors feature large and comfortable rooms, including double, triple, and a suite with two bedrooms and a relaxation area. Some rooms are air-conditioned, while others benefit from the natural coolness of the ancient stone walls.

Guests can unwind in outdoor spaces dedicated to reading or simply contemplating the landscape, while inside, the rooms with stone walls, wooden furnishings, and a fireplace create a warm and inviting atmosphere. A half-board service is also available, allowing guests to savor the specialties of Cilento cuisine, born from Nunzia’s passion for authentic and traditional dishes.

The history of the residence intertwines with that of Cilento and its key figures. Within its walls, significant events related to the insurrectionary movements of 1828 took place, when members of the original De Luca family were involved in the anti-Bourbon revolt. The house has hosted notable personalities, including the Dominican Father Vincenzo Jervasi and the sculptor Luigi De Luca, known for his famous works in Naples.

Today, the residence retains the charm of its long history, offering guests an authentic stay that bridges the past and present in a corner of Cilento where nature, culture, and traditions blend into a uniquely beautiful experience.
Rooms and Rates
We offer you a delightful buffet breakfast, primarily continental, featuring homemade cakes and cookies, freshly baked croissants, yogurt and cereals, fresh bread and toast, along with jams, honey, butter, and seasonal fruit. Milk, coffee, tea, and cappuccinos are served directly at the tables. Upon request, you can also enjoy eggs, cheese, and cold cuts.
The kitchen of the Country House Antica Dimora del Sole serves as the vibrant heart of hospitality, where each dish narrates the tradition and authentic flavors of Cilento. Dinners are served on enchanting panoramic terraces during the pleasant season or in the cozy stone interiors, offering a genuine experience rich in local aromas and tastes.

Handmade fresh pasta takes center stage in our first courses, crafted with carefully selected ingredients sourced from the region. Among the specialties are cavatelli with Cilento ragù, lagane with chickpeas, fusilli with meat or vegetable ragù, and paccheri stuffed with fresh vegetables and buffalo ricotta. Each recipe is born from Nunzia's passion for cooking, which transforms simple raw materials into dishes with genuine flavor.

Our main courses feature high-quality meats, meticulously chosen and accompanied by seasonal vegetables grown in our organic garden. To enhance the experience, we offer tastings of local cured meats and cheeses, true treasures of Cilento's tradition, providing a journey through flavors that highlights the deep connection to this generous land.
