In the heart of the Cilento National Park, in an area of remarkable archaeological and architectural significance, the Bed & Breakfast Dolce Basilico welcomes its guests to a charming residence overlooking the hill of Agropoli. The peaceful and scenic location offers breathtaking views ranging from the island of Capri to the Gulf of Salerno and the Amalfi Coast.

Established in 1993 as a farm stay, the Ruggiero family’s country house has now become a cozy family-run accommodation, where every detail is tended to with care. The spacious and bright rooms create a relaxing atmosphere with functional furnishings and modern amenities, including private bathrooms, internet access, minibars, and TVs. Independent entrances ensure maximum privacy, while balconies and small terraces overlook either the sea or the inner courtyard. A children's bed is also available upon request.

The strategic location makes Dolce Basilico the perfect starting point for exploring the treasures of Cilento: from coastal towns like Paestum, Palinuro, and Castellabate to inland villages rich in traditions and authentic flavors. The attentive and friendly hosts are happy to provide helpful information in both English and French, making your stay even more enjoyable.

Area Collina

The Dolce Basilico Bed & Breakfast is located in Agropoli, in a prime spot that combines serenity and breathtaking views with proximity to the main attractions of the Cilento National Park. From the hill where the property is situated, there is a stunning view that encompasses the entire Gulf of Salerno, the Amalfi Coast, and, on clear days, the outline of the island of Capri. This corner of Campania is a perfect blend of crystal-clear sea, unspoiled nature, and a rich cultural heritage.

The area is ideal for those who wish to alternate relaxing moments on the beach with excursions to discover historical sites such as Paestum, known for its well-preserved Greek temples, or Velia, an ancient city of Magna Graecia. The charming villages of Cilento — such as Castellabate, Acciaroli, Pisciotta, and Camerota — provide authentic insights into local traditions and the opportunity to savor regional cuisine. The natural surroundings, characterized by trails, hills, and stretches of wild coastline, invite exploration on foot, by bike, or by boat, offering experiences that evoke a sense of freedom.

Agropoli itself, with its old town, Aragonese castle, and marina, is an unmissable stop for those who enjoy a combination of culture, scenic beauty, and Mediterranean flavors.
