The B&B Portico di Paola is located in the countryside of Brisighella, where greenery dominates the landscape and tranquility fills the days. Surrounding the area are meticulously tended fields, rows of vines, and fruit trees that create a soothing and authentic panorama, evoking a sense of freedom at first glance. Its position, just a few kilometers from the center of the village, allows guests to immerse themselves in nature without sacrificing the opportunity to explore one of the most charming spots in the Romagna Apennines.

The house, nestled in the peaceful countryside, welcomes visitors with tidy and comfortable spaces designed for a simple yet enjoyable stay. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, made even more special by the hospitality of Paola and Roberto, who are discreetly present to ensure everyone feels at home. The property offers free Wi-Fi, parking, air conditioning, and breakfast included, making it suitable for both a refreshing weekend getaway and longer stays, perfect for enjoying leisurely walks, moments of silence, and rural views that change with the light throughout the day.

The three quiet and well-maintained rooms feature functional spaces for breakfast as well. The Rose and Green rooms have access to the kitchen on the first floor, equipped with a coffee machine, kettle for tea and herbal infusions, and a refrigerator stocked with water and other beverages. The Blue room includes a convenient kitchenette with a coffee machine, kettle, and refrigerator. During pleasant weather, breakfast can be served on the terrace, allowing guests to start their day outdoors.

In the morning, a hearty sweet breakfast is offered, featuring coffee, tea, easily digestible milk, juices, or smoothies, accompanied by freshly baked goods, bread, and brioche, along with butter, jams, honey, yogurt, and seasonal fruit from the Portico Farm. A savory option with cheeses, cured meats, and fresh eggs from the on-site hens is also available upon request. Any food intolerances can be communicated at the time of booking to ensure attentive service that caters to the needs of guests.

The stay is enriched by a connection to the local area: the property is situated within a farm where grapes for wine, fruit, and DOP olive oil from Brisighella have been cultivated for years, a tradition that is now continued by the family. From here, one can easily reach the medieval village with its characteristic streets, the Fortress, the Clock Tower, and the charming Via degli Asini, as well as the trails of the Vena del Gesso Romagnola Park, which are ideal for hiking and offer spectacular views. Surrounded by hills, olive groves, vineyards, and local flavors, the B&B serves as a welcoming retreat for those seeking tranquility, nature, and authenticity.

Hey, I'm Paola

Paola Tozzi warmly welcomes guests to the B&B Portico di Paola with genuine hospitality, a result of her extensive life and work experience in the countryside of Brisighella. For over thirty years, she has been involved in her family’s agricultural business, surrounded by vineyards, orchards, and olive groves, growing wine grapes, kiwis, nectarines, plums, and the DOP olive oil of Brisighella, fostering a deep connection with the land and its natural rhythms. Now, along with her husband Roberto, she has decided to open the doors of their rural home to provide a simple yet thoughtful welcome characterized by sincere attentiveness and discreet presence. The family-run approach is reflected in the serene atmosphere of the establishment and the care taken in preparing breakfast, which features fresh products, often sourced directly from their farm. Her aim is to offer guests an authentic experience where they can feel at ease, slow down, and explore the Romagna countryside through its landscapes, flavors, and local traditions.

Area Campagna

Brisighella is nestled among the hills of the Romagna Apennines and is regarded as one of the most enchanting villages in the region, a place where the harmony between landscape and architecture creates a timeless atmosphere. Stone houses, narrow alleys, and breathtaking views enhance the visit, while all around unfolds a tapestry of vineyards, olive groves, and cultivated fields that form a sweet and vibrant territory, capable of transforming with the changing seasons.

The village preserves captivating historical evidence, such as the towering Rocca Manfrediana, the Clock Tower, and the famous Via degli Asini, a unique elevated passage that narrates the medieval history of the town. Strolling here means alternating scenic climbs with stops in quaint squares, among shops, wine bars, and establishments where an authentic ambiance still prevails, far removed from the frantic pace of modern life.

Nature plays a central role in every direction. The surroundings invite you to enjoy the outdoors with ideal trails for walking, hiking, and cycling through clay hills, forests, and scenic ridges. Not far away lies the Vena del Gesso Romagnola Park, an area of significant natural and landscape value, characterized by spectacular gypsum formations, caves, and paths that offer wide views of the Lamone Valley. It is a territory suited for both relaxing outings and more dynamic routes, always immersed in the tranquility and scents of the countryside.

The experience is enriched by local flavors, deeply rooted in agricultural tradition. Brisighella is famous for its DOP extra virgin olive oil, with a delicate and fragrant taste, for Romagna wines, and for authentic cuisine that highlights seasonal products, homemade pasta, cured meats, and local cheeses. Festivals and events throughout the year provide opportunities to discover customs, music, and a sense of community, making your stay a direct encounter with local culture.

Staying in this area means choosing a balance between tranquility, landscapes, and historical heritage, with the chance to alternate restful days in nature with cultural visits and culinary experiences. It is a setting that encourages you to slow down, observe, and let yourself be guided by the rhythms of the Romagna countryside.
