  • Romantic atmosphere
Nestled in the greenery of the initial Reggio hills, our home welcomes guests with a warm, simple, and friendly atmosphere. Located just 2 km from Albinea, 4 km from Scandiano, and 10 km from Reggio Emilia, it is perfect for those seeking tranquility without straying too far from urban areas. The S. Maria Nuova Hospital and the Reggio Emilia Fair can be reached in just a few minutes.

The accommodations consist of two double rooms (one of which can accommodate a third and fourth bed), which are bright, comfortable, and quiet. Each room is independent from the main house, equipped with a TV and Wi-Fi, and guests have the option to receive keys for greater freedom. The shared bathroom is equipped with a shower and bathtub. Guests can enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, board games, books, and a large 3,000 sqm garden where children can safely play amidst nature and farm animals. A babysitting service is also available upon request.

For relaxation, the area offers many opportunities: a swimming pool, horseback riding, tennis courts, a golf club, and the Matilde di Canossa Spa are all nearby. Nature lovers can explore natural and geo-archeological trails that start right from the house. This location is an excellent starting point for visiting the Matildic castles, the Matildic Natural Park of Montalto, the Tosco-Emilian National Park, and other historically and naturally significant sites.

The region is also renowned for its food and wine, with opportunities to taste and purchase local specialties such as Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, balsamic vinegar, cured meats, and traditional wines. Local taverns serve typical dishes like green and pumpkin tortelli, cappelletti, tigelle, fried gnocchi, and zampone. Breakfast, made with homemade cakes and jams, can be tailored to request for those preferring a vegan option.
Rooms and Rates
Breakfast features a delightful assortment of homemade pastries, freshly baked bread, artisanal jams, and cured meats and cheeses for those who lean towards savory options. I have a particular passion for making traditional cakes, such as "rice cake," and I enjoy recommending local restaurants and typical dishes from the region to our guests.

Area

The location of our establishment is perfect for those looking to explore the area, which is rich in history, nature, and culture. Within just a few minutes, you can find numerous points of interest, including Casa Madonna dell’Uliveto, a site of significant spiritual value, and the Ospedale di Reggio Emilia, which is easily accessible in a short time. Sports enthusiasts will discover the Circolo Tennis Albinea and the Lo Stradello riding school nearby, providing great opportunities for an active break surrounded by greenery.

Golf lovers can take advantage of the proximity to the Golf Club Matilde di Canossa, a course that offers both relaxation and enjoyment. Our establishment is also located along the gastronomic route of the “Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori,” a journey that allows you to explore local specialties, from exquisite cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano to typical wines such as Lambrusco, as well as balsamic vinegar and cured meats. It is the perfect starting point to savor the authentic flavors of the Reggio tradition.

Additionally, our house serves as an excellent base for visiting the Matildic Castles circuit, a historical heritage that narrates the story of Countess Matilde di Canossa and her lands, which are dotted with ancient castles and villas. For those wanting to venture further, the property is just 20 minutes from the Reggio Emilia highway exit, providing easy access to other regions of interest both locally and nationally.
