Riolunato is a charming village located in the Modena province, overlooking a captivating artificial lake formed by a dam. This area is renowned for Mount Cimone, the highest peak in Emilia Romagna, which provides an ideal setting for hiking and fishing enthusiasts, as well as for winter sports fans. The ski lifts that lead to the summit are found in the hamlet of Le Polle, which is easily accessible from Riolunato. Skiers can also descend towards Sestola, Fanano, and Montecreto directly from Riolunato.

In the village, you will find various amenities, including grocery stores with a tobacco shop, clothing shops, a post office, a pharmacy, a library, a tourist information center, two restaurants/pizzerias, a bar with a newsstand, a gas station, and two playgrounds for young children.
