The facility features three spacious apartments and a wooden mini-house, each equipped with a kitchenette, a living area with a sofa, a private bathroom, independent air conditioning, and Wi-Fi access. The apartments are located on the first floor of the main building and overlook a large panoramic terrace furnished with tables, chairs, and swings. The Iride mini-house, set in the garden next to the pool, includes a double bedroom, a living area with a sofa bed, a bathroom with a shower, and an outdoor veranda with views of the hills.

The well-maintained outdoor spaces include a swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas, a sunbathing area, a garden with play equipment and a sandbox for young children, a porch, and a terrace. Guests also have access to a common room stocked with guides, books, and board games. The agriturismo offers E-BIKE rentals, with or without a guide, to explore the nearby trails surrounded by forests, vineyards, and cultivated fields.

Located just 18 km from Piacenza and close to charming towns like Bobbio, Rivalta, and Grazzano Visconti, the site allows for a blend of relaxation in nature and engaging cultural visits. Opportunities for horseback riding, birdwatching, or hikes to stunning locations such as Pietra Parcellara, the Carlone waterfalls, or the Neolithic park are available nearby. The Trebbia River, with its clear waters, provides natural beaches and chances for swimming and kayaking.

While on-site dining is not available, there are restaurants, trattorias, and agriturismos just a few kilometers away. Within the property, there’s a small shop offering a selection of quality local food products, including cured meats, cheeses, wines, and sauces, all sourced from the farm or local producers. Upon request, guests can also participate in gardening activities for an authentic rural experience.

Hey, I'm Daniela

My name is Daniela, and together with my family, I passionately run the small farm and agriturismo that has been passed down to us since 1902. Our home is nestled in the gentle hills between Val Trebbia and Val Luretta, a landscape that once saw Hannibal's troops camp and today tells a different story, one of rural tranquility, vineyards, cultivated fields, and the slow-flowing river that changes color with each bend. The Giaciglio di Annibale is a family-run establishment that has managed to grow while staying true to its roots. In 2011, we renovated the old barn with a porch, transforming it into an agriturismo, adhering to the latest seismic safety standards and equipping the facility with a photovoltaic system, in line with our commitment to environmental respect. Today, we offer accommodations in holiday apartments surrounded by nature, in a simple yet authentic atmosphere, where every detail is designed to make you feel at home. Our farm spans nine hectares surrounding the agriturismo. We cultivate forage, alfalfa, fruits, vegetables, and recently, aromatic and medicinal herbs. We produce jams, preserves, and pickled vegetables, and collaborate with other local businesses to provide cured meats, cheeses, wine, pasta, flours, juices, and artisanal sauces. The spacious and well-maintained outdoor areas include a sun terrace, a garden, and a play area for children. Animals are always welcome. We love to share our world with those seeking a place to slow down, rediscover simplicity, and be inspired by the beauty of nature.

Area Collina

We are situated in the heart of the gentle Piacenza hills, nestled between the Val Trebbia and Val Luretta, in an area rich in nature, history, and inspiration. Here, where according to tradition Hannibal camped with his troops in 218 BC, time seems to have stood still. Fields alternate with forests, vineyards, and paths, while the Trebbia River carves a constantly changing landscape: in the mountain gorges, it appears emerald green, while in the plains, it stretches out in a deep, almost enchanted blue.

The region offers numerous opportunities for those who enjoy exploring on foot, by bike, or on horseback. The trails surrounding the agriturismo allow for immersion in unspoiled nature, wildlife observation, birdwatching, or simply being guided by the silence and scents of the countryside. Just a few kilometers away, the clear waters of the Trebbia are perfect for a refreshing swim on hot days, sport fishing, or kayaking.

Cultural and architectural wonders abound: the area is dotted with medieval villages, castles, and historic mansions. A short distance away, you can visit charming places like the Rivalta Castle, Bobbio with its abbey and famous Gobbo Bridge, Grazzano Visconti with its neo-medieval village, as well as the Rocca d’Olgisio, Castell’Arquato, and Vigoleno.

Food lovers will find authentic flavors and a rich culinary tradition in these lands: cured meats, cheeses, wines from the Piacenza hills, and local dishes to savor in the many trattorias and agriturismos in the area.

Despite being surrounded by tranquility, we are well connected: Piacenza is only 18 km away, and all essential services are within a few kilometers. Here, nature, history, and hospitality blend in a harmonious balance, creating an intimate and authentic atmosphere perfect for rejuvenation and rediscovering the slow rhythms of country life.
