Pozzo di Mezzo B&B

Pozzo di Mezzo B&B is the result of restoring an old Emilian farmhouse, carefully renovated to maintain its original charm. Traditional roof tiles, exposed stone walls, and fine handcrafted details tell the story of the building, while elegant and welcoming interiors provide all the comforts of modern hospitality.

Located in Bologna, about 4 km from the historic center, the B&B enjoys a prime spot on the edge of the Gessi Bolognesi and Calanchi dell’Abbadessa Regional Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This peaceful, green setting allows guests to easily reach the city center thanks to nearby public transport connections.

The property features three independent rooms with direct garden access, accommodating up to six guests in total, with the option to add a single bed. Each room includes a private bathroom, individual air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, and a carefully selected Ortigia courtesy kit complete with vanity set, shower cap, shaving kit, hairdryer, and slippers. Comfort is enhanced by Simmons mattresses, Oeko-Tex certified hypoallergenic duvets, Fazzini Home pure cotton percale satin linens, and softened water. Rooms are cleaned daily with special attention to hygiene.

Guests can start their day with the “Breakfast in Room” option, included in the stay, featuring Nespresso coffee, tea, herbal infusions, and pre-packaged pastries already available in the room each morning.

The garden and patio offer pleasant spaces to relax, while a small wine cellar provides a selection of wines and beverages. Free private parking is available on-site, accessible through an automated gate with a personal code, ensuring peace of mind. The property is also secured with an alarm system and video surveillance.

Special care is given to those traveling with bicycles or motorcycles, with an alarmed wooden shelter for bikes and a covered area dedicated to motorcycles.

Four-legged friends are also welcome. Well-socialized dogs can stay for a small daily fee, which includes a donation to the Elisabetta Franchi Onlus Foundation. Water and food bowls are provided, along with a nearby dog exercise area and a specialized pet store within walking distance.

To further enhance the stay, just minutes from the B&B, guests can book wellness treatments at Lympha Massaggi, where Alessandra Menarini offers personalized therapies ranging from Leduc method lymphatic drainage to Roman thermal massage, Kobido, and other relaxing treatments, available by appointment only.

Hospitality is managed by Francesca, a native of Bologna and passionate traveler, who after a long career in fashion chose to dedicate herself to hosting, offering her guests the same care, sensitivity, and attention she looks for when she travels. Francesca also personally took all the photos of the property to provide an authentic and accurate portrayal of the spaces.
