Description
The agritourism facility, set against the picturesque backdrop of Friuli Collinare, is located in an area characterized by gentle hills, meadows, and forests, providing an oasis of tranquility and natural beauty. The building, dating back to the 1700s, was once the old stable of the Castle of Susans and has been carefully renovated to preserve its historical charm.

The interiors blend Art Nouveau style with elements from the 1920s and 1930s, along with modern comforts. The four guest rooms, furnished with vintage and handcrafted pieces, are named Liberty, Cherry, Myrtle, and Golden Rain. Two of the rooms are doubles with private bathrooms, one is a single, and the largest room, which accommodates four guests, is located on the ground floor and is equipped for disabled visitors.

The agritourism offers overnight stays with breakfast, ensuring a relaxing experience while exploring the surrounding area. Nearby, one can visit towns rich in history, culture, and gastronomy, such as San Daniele, Gemona del Friuli, Venzone, Osoppo, Spilimbergo, and the Arzino Valley. The All’Antica Scuderia del Castello Agriturismo was established in the summer of 2001, thanks to the passion of Maria Luisa Zuliani, who decorated it with restored antique furniture, a result of years of research and recovery alongside her husband. In 2003, the management transitioned to their daughter Barbara, who returned to Friuli with her husband after gaining experience in Denmark and settled into the house next door. Even today, they run the agriturismo together with care, dedication, and a love for hospitality, paying attention to every detail to provide guests with an authentic and relaxing stay. Our agriturismo is a peaceful haven nestled in the lush green hills of Friuli, a place where time seems to flow more slowly. Come and explore this lesser-known part of Friuli; its genuine beauty and timeless charm are sure to surprise you!

Area Collina

The most significant city nearby is San Daniele, perched on a hill that provides a panoramic view of forests, fields, and plains. It is internationally recognized for its library, 'La Biblioteca Guarneriana.' Established in 1466, it is renowned for its valuable collection of over 160 rare manuscripts, some dating back to the 12th century, including the famous 14th-century manuscript of Dante's Divine Comedy. San Daniele is also home to the Church of Sant'Antonio, adorned with late medieval frescoes by Pellegrino da San Daniele.

“The Ancient Stables of the Castle” is located about an hour and a half by car north of Venice. It is an hour away from Ronchi Trieste Airport and half an hour from the Udine train station, which is situated near the ancient city walls. During the long summer days, you will have plenty of time to ride, relax, or explore local attractions. The surrounding area, rich in villages, churches, and castles, is steeped in ancient history. In just a few minutes' drive, you can visit other significant locations, such as Cividale – Julius Caesar's favored city, Aquileia – famous for its mosaics and Roman ruins, and Palmanova – the star-shaped nine-pointed citadel.
