In the heart of the Levanto valley, within the medieval village of Montale, L’Antica Pieve welcomes guests in a historic residence dating back to the second half of the 16th century, expertly renovated to provide a stay characterized by comfort and authenticity. The establishment, awarded the highest rating of 3 suns, combines the charm of the past with modern amenities, ensuring meticulous attention to hospitality.

The accommodations include four double/twin rooms and a small apartment with a kitchenette, each featuring a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, television, Wi-Fi, a safe, and daily linen change. Every morning, the buffet breakfast offers fresh and wholesome products, including homemade cakes and jams, seasonal fruits, and cheeses from the Varese Ligure Organic Valley.

The house, connected to the family that has lived in and transformed it for over 500 years, has served as a place of agricultural life, a center for gatherings, and even a local school. In 2003, it was restored with the aim of sharing its history and its ties to the Levanto region. The rooms are named after villages in the valley – Dosso, Pastine, Montale, and Casella – reflecting a deep-rooted local tradition.

To enhance the experience, guests receive a pass for free or reduced-rate parking in the center of Levanto, making it easier to explore the local wonders and the Cinque Terre National Park, which starts right from this location.

Hey, I'm Cristina

Our Bed & Breakfast was born from our family's dream: since 2003, I, Cristina, along with my husband Marcello and our daughter Benedetta, have been running it with great enthusiasm. We have created a project that combines all our passions: making sweets and jams using family recipes, baking bread in a traditional wood-fired oven, and utilizing fresh produce from the Rosso Montale farm, which is managed by my husband. Our guests can enjoy a selection of wines, dessert wines made from white and red grapes, wine vinegar crafted with a century-old mother culture, seasonal fresh fruit, and many other culinary delights. We look forward to welcoming you for an unforgettable stay!

Area Campagna

The most convenient way to reach the Antica Pieve is by car. Montale is located just 7 km from the Carrodano-Levanto highway exit. There is free public parking available close to the facility. A short drive will lead you to the train station for the beautiful Cinque Terre. Upon arrival, you will receive a pass that allows you to park for free at the Levanto station and at discounted rates in the town center.
