The Pernambucco Bed & Breakfast is nestled in the picturesque Aquila valley, surrounded by nature, fruit orchards, and vineyards. It is just a short walk from Finalborgo and only ten minutes by bike from the sea, offering genuine hospitality in an ancient farmhouse with breathtaking views of Castel Govone. Its strategic location makes it easy to access the most beautiful hiking trails in the area and the famous climbing cliffs of Finale Ligure, making it an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts.

The establishment features three rooms overlooking the valley, decorated in a rustic style yet equipped with modern comforts, including a private bathroom with a shower and air conditioning. Two of the rooms, “Rustegu” and “Lubna,” can be connected for those seeking more privacy. Guests can enjoy the spacious panoramic terrace, perfect for unwinding on summer evenings while admiring the sunset over the hills and the village of Perti with its Romanesque and Byzantine churches.

Breakfast is a special experience at Pernambucco, served outdoors during the warmer months and in the indoor dining area during the cooler seasons. Guests can savor a wide selection of local products, including homemade breads and pastries, jams made from valley fruits, juices, yogurt, focaccia, and croissants. In the right season, guests can taste the area’s unique Pernambucco oranges, which are expected to become a Slow Food presidium.

Thanks to Giovanni’s expertise as an Alpine Guide and Climbing Instructor, guests can participate in excursions and outdoor activities organized in collaboration with the Finale Guides Society. Located just a few kilometers from the stunning beaches of Finale Ligure and Varigotti, the Pernambucco Bed & Breakfast is the perfect retreat for those seeking nature, sports, and relaxation in an authentic and welcoming setting.
Rooms and Rates
Generous breakfasts are served from 8:00 to 10:00 on the beautiful terrace during the summer months, while in winter, they take place in the spacious indoor hall, overlooking Castel Govone and the ancient churches of Perti. The breakfast includes a selection of fresh fruit juices, yogurt, artisanal breads and focaccia, homemade butter and jams, croissants and pastries, as well as a variety of teas, herbal infusions, milk, and coffee. All products offered at Pernambucco come, whenever possible, from certified local producers within a short distance.

Hey, I'm Margherita

My name is Margherita, and I have been managing the Bed and Breakfast since it opened. I have a deep passion for nature and the countryside, especially when it’s near the sea, which I absolutely love, as well as all outdoor activities. I spent many years traveling around the world, but I have finally found the location of my dreams. I have a fondness for old farmhouses with their simple and clean style, featuring rustic yet functional furnishings, which I have tried to preserve in our B&B. I cherish traditional cooking, homemade bread, and my grandmother's cakes, which I serve every morning for breakfast during the summer months, along with my homemade jams. I am assisted by my husband Giovanni, an alpine guide with a great passion for climbing in the Finalese area, and occasionally by a dear friend. We are a team that truly loves this place and everything that the Finalese has to offer its guests!

Area Campagna

The Pernambucco Bed & Breakfast is located in the beautiful Aquila Valley, a lush green area on the outskirts of Finalborgo, one of Italy's most enchanting medieval villages. This corner of Liguria, nestled between the sea and the hills, is famous for its picturesque landscapes, characterized by citrus groves, orchards, and vineyards that stretch up to the heights of Finale. The rural and authentic atmosphere of the valley perfectly complements its proximity to the historical and natural wonders of the Riviera di Ponente.

About a kilometer away lies Finalborgo, a gem of medieval architecture surrounded by well-preserved walls. Its narrow cobblestone streets, quaint squares, and Renaissance palaces create a timeless ambiance, enhanced by artisan shops, traditional venues, and restaurants where visitors can savor Ligurian cuisine. From the village, dominated by the majestic profile of Castel San Giovanni, it is a quick journey to Finale Ligure and its enchanting beaches, including the famous Varigotti, known for its golden coastline and crystal-clear waters.

The area is a paradise for nature enthusiasts and outdoor sports lovers. The hiking trails and climbing routes of Finale Ligure are among the most renowned in Europe, offering paths suitable for all levels of experience. Scenic routes depart from the Aquila Valley, traversing karst plateaus, Mediterranean forests, and archaeological sites, such as the prehistoric caves in the region. Just a short walk from the bed & breakfast, one can reach the famous climbing cliffs, while those who prefer trekking can explore trails that lead to Monte Cucco and Rocca di Perti, boasting spectacular views of the sea and surrounding hills.

Mountain biking enthusiasts will find the Finale area to be one of the most sought-after destinations internationally, with a network of trails winding through Mediterranean scrub and oak forests, providing unique thrills for enduro and downhill lovers. The flat route connecting the Aquila Valley to the sea allows for a short bike ride to the beach, making Pernambucco an ideal base for those wishing to alternate between sporting activities and moments of relaxation by the sea.

Far from the tourist hustle and bustle, yet perfectly linked to the main attractions of the area, the Aquila Valley is an ideal destination for those seeking tranquility, nature, and authenticity, with the opportunity to explore one of the most fascinating regions of Liguria, rich in history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.
