As I continue my life in the city, focusing on work and daily activities, my creative mother is in charge of the B&B Verdemare&Verdementa. Giusi, who hails from Puglia, spent many years in Milan, where she practiced a unique craft, creating papier-mâché art pieces that can now be found in various corners of the globe. When she decided to move into this charming house, we thought it would be wonderful to open it not just to friends but to anyone looking to enjoy a few days of relaxation. Giusi has a passion for hospitality and will warmly welcome you, ensuring that your room is adorned with a fresh flower or a delightful treat. Every morning, she will prepare a generous breakfast for you to enjoy in the lovely garden, filled with plants and flowers. You can savor yogurt, jams, cakes, fresh bread, and much more. If you prefer, you can also request a savory breakfast. The B&B Verdemare&Verdementa is located just a five-minute walk from the town center, on a peaceful country road where parking is never an issue.

Area Campagna

The area surrounding Verdemare&verdementa is a beautiful corner of Liguria, rich in natural and historical wonders, ideal for those seeking a serene and exploratory experience. The house is located in Le Grazie, a charming village just a short distance from Portovenere, a destination that captivates with its crystal-clear sea and breathtaking views. Here, guests can enjoy long walks immersed in nature, exploring the CAI trail number 1 that connects Portovenere to Riomaggiore, passing through Campiglia. This route offers spectacular coastal vistas and takes approximately four and a half hours to complete. For those looking for a shorter hike, the path leading to Le Grazie, which goes by the Roman villa of Varignano, is a great alternative.

For those who prefer more active pursuits, Muzzerone provides routes for sport climbing, featuring cliffs towering over the sea that present one of the most enticing challenges for free climbers. This location is also ideal for birdwatching enthusiasts, as seagulls, imperial crows, and hawks soar above during climbs. Anglers can try their luck catching the famous sea bream of Portovenere or pursue tuna in the surrounding waters.

Just a five-minute walk from the house, you will find the Roman villa of Varignano, an archaeological site that reflects the history of ancient Rome. Within a thirty-minute radius, you can visit the Doria Castle, the church of San Pietro, and the church of San Lorenzo, all of which are steeped in charm and history. If you venture a bit further, a short drive will take you to Lerici, Tellaro, Luni, Castelnuovo Magra, Sarzana, Montemarcello, Carrara, Massa, and Pietrasanta, all rich in art, culture, and tradition.
