Nestled between apple orchards and vineyards in the sunlit village of Bianzone, the B&B Il Grappolo welcomes guests in a charmingly restored historic farmhouse that offers an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. The family's old barn has been transformed into a cozy accommodation featuring three double rooms and one quadruple room, all equipped with private bathrooms, decorated in a rustic style, and offering complimentary Wi-Fi.

Breakfast, served either in the cozy indoor dining area or on the spacious terrace overlooking the Orobie mountains, is one of the highlights of the stay. Guests can enjoy homemade cakes, authentic jams, fresh bread, pastries, cereals, yogurt, seasonal fruits, local cheeses, and cured meats, all accompanied by freshly brewed hot beverages. Eggs are also available upon request.

The property is surrounded by a garden filled with fruit trees and offers convenient parking. Its location is perfect for biking and mountain hiking, given its proximity to the Bernina, Aprica, and Mortirolo passes. Just 4 km away is Tirano, where the famous Bernina Express departs, while Bormio and its thermal baths can be reached in about half an hour by car. Nearby, guests can also visit the La Gatta winery, located just a kilometer away, and Switzerland is only 3 km from the village.

Ivana, the hostess, has extensive experience working abroad in the tourism sector. She enjoys traveling, photography, and cooking, and she speaks English, German, and French fluently. Il Grappolo embodies her dream—a welcoming place designed to host guests from all over the world with simplicity and warmth.

Hey, I'm Ivana

Ivana is the host and the heart of the B&B Il Grappolo. Area Campagna

Bianzone is a small village located in Valtellina, nestled on the Rhaetian slope. It is recognized for its sunny climate and picturesque landscapes dotted with apple orchards and vineyards that create gently rolling hills and cultivated terraces. This serene corner of Sondrio province maintains an authenticity reflected in its rural architecture, dry stone walls, historic wineries, and agricultural traditions linked to wine production. Just a short distance from the village center, there are hiking trails and mountain biking routes that connect to alpine passes such as Mortirolo, Aprica, and Bernina, which are highly appreciated by outdoor enthusiasts.

The location is also ideal for those looking to explore the surrounding area: only 4 km away lies Tirano, a city steeped in history, particularly known as the starting point of the famous Bernina Express, a UNESCO World Heritage site that traverses breathtaking landscapes all the way to St. Moritz. Just a kilometer from the property is the renowned La Gatta Winery, set in a former 16th-century convent surrounded by vineyards, where visitors can taste Valtellina wines in a charming, old-world atmosphere.

In less than half an hour by car, you can reach Bormio, famous for its thermal waters and medieval town center. During the summer, crossing the Swiss border leads easily to Livigno, an alpine destination popular for duty-free shopping and mountain sports. Thus, the Bianzone area offers a perfect balance of nature, relaxation, and outdoor activities in an authentic and tranquil setting, away from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism.
