Description
The B&B Stradivari is located in an ancient Cremonese farmhouse, known as "Cappuccina," which has been owned and managed by the Vacchelli family for generations. This building, dating back to the 1600s, has preserved the charm of rural architecture thanks to recent restoration work that has maintained the exposed beams, terracotta floors, arches, and brick lintels. These features, along with the tension chains used to stabilize the walls, reflect the architectural style of the period. Today, the renovated spaces are dedicated to hosting guests, while the owning family still resides in the main house.

The B&B is situated in a quiet area of Cremona, between San Sigismondo and the hospital, just a short distance from the highway exit and only two minutes from the city center. It is surrounded by the greenery of the countryside and framed by the enchanting atmosphere of a historic farmhouse.

The establishment offers three double bedrooms, with the option for a matrimonial setup, two of which are interconnected, making them ideal for families and small groups. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom. On the ground floor, guests can enjoy a living/kitchen area that accommodates two additional guests on a sofa bed. The space, newly decorated with a country touch, provides comfort and warmth. Every morning, a rich breakfast is served, prepared with high-quality products to start the day on a delicious note.

I greatly value human interaction and fondly remember each and every guest who has chosen to stay at my establishment. I am a psychologist and psychotherapist, practicing in my office located next to the B&B. I dedicate my time to both activities; at the B&B, I personally handle the reception and ensure the quality of breakfast by selecting only high-quality, fresh products. I make sure that the premises are sanitized daily and maintained in optimal comfort, as evidenced by the numerous positive comments from guests. I have a deep passion for greenery: in the lawn in front of the entrance, I have planted fig, apricot, persimmon, peach, plum, and nectarine trees to refresh the spirit and offer a pleasing view to those who, like me, cannot live without the beauty of nature.

Area San Sigismondo

Just a short walk from the B&B is the magnificent church and monastic complex of San Sigismondo, dating back to the 15th century and adorned with frescoes by some of the most renowned masters of 16th-century Cremonese painting. Not far away, heading towards the historic center, the Romanesque-Lombard Basilica of S. Michele Vetere is a must-see. Nearby, surrounded by embankments and poplar woods, stretches a pleasant cycling path that connects the city to the majestic Po River, providing an excellent opportunity to explore the area's natural beauty.
