Cecina is one of the most picturesque villages in Toscolano-Maderno, nestled within the greenery of the hills overlooking the western shore of Lake Garda. Its narrow streets, stone alleys, and small porticoes maintain the authentic atmosphere of a village where time seems to move more slowly, offering stunning panoramic views of the lake.

Within walking distance in the village center, guests will find a grocery store, a trattoria, a restaurant, and a pizzeria. About 3 kilometers away is Toscolano-Maderno, which offers supermarkets, shops, pharmacies, restaurants, both equipped and free beaches, a charming lakeside promenade, and the ferry dock, ideal for visiting locations on the Verona side.

The location is also perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The Alto Garda Bresciano Regional Park provides numerous trails for trekking and mountain biking, walks through the Paper Mill Valley, and excursions to Monte Pizzoccolo, Monte Castello, and the Valvestino Dam. Sports fans can enjoy golf, sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, horseback riding, tennis, climbing, and paragliding, while culture enthusiasts can visit the Paper Museum, the Roman Villa, and the famous Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera, all just a short drive away.
Rooms and Rates
The included breakfast consists of a small selection of packaged goods, restocked daily during the apartment cleaning.

Casa Raggio di Sole

Area Collina

Cecina is one of the most distinctive hamlets of Toscolano-Maderno, situated in a prime spot on the hills overlooking the western shore of Lake Garda. This quaint village retains the timeless charm of traditional Gardesani towns, featuring stone alleys, arcades, scenic viewpoints, and a peaceful atmosphere that encourages slowing down and experiencing the area authentically. Its elevated location offers stunning views of the lake, surrounded by the lush greenery of the Alto Garda Bresciano Regional Park.

Strolling through the village center, visitors will find a small grocery store, a trattoria, a restaurant, and a pizzeria — perfect for enjoying local cuisine without leaving the village. Just a few minutes by car is Toscolano-Maderno, where supermarkets, pharmacies, shops, bars, restaurants, equipped and free beaches, as well as a charming lakeside promenade ideal for a walk with views over Lake Garda, are available.

The Maderno ferry dock provides easy access to the Veronese shore of the lake via regular ferry services, making it convenient to visit places like Torri del Benaco, Malcesine, Limone sul Garda, Riva del Garda, and Sirmione without needing to drive the entire way.

Nature lovers will find a true paradise here. The trails of the Alto Garda Bresciano Regional Park wind through forests, olive groves, and breathtaking landscapes, offering routes suitable for both leisurely walks and more challenging hikes. Popular destinations include Monte Pizzoccolo, Monte Castello, the Valvestino Dam, and the spectacular Valle delle Cartiere, an area of great natural and historical interest where visitors can follow a trail dedicated to the ancient paper mills that made this region famous.

The area is also perfect for outdoor sports enthusiasts. Numerous scenic roads and paths are ideal for cycling and mountain biking, while the lake provides excellent opportunities for sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, and pedal boating. Complementing these activities are the historic 18-hole Golf Bogliaco overlooking the lake, the Tennis Club Bogliaco, riding stables, climbing walls, and outdoor fitness areas.

Those interested in exploring the region’s artistic and cultural heritage can visit the Paper Museum and the Roman Villa of Toscolano-Maderno or take a short trip to Gardone Riviera, home to the famous Vittoriale degli Italiani — the monumental residence of Gabriele D’Annunzio — and the elegant André Heller Botanical Garden. Finally, Cecina’s location serves as an excellent base for exploring the entire Lake Garda area, offering a balance of relaxing beach days, nature excursions, and visits to numerous historic villages that make this one of Italy’s most captivating destinations.
