In the heart of the Agricultural Park of South Milan, Cascina di Mezzo welcomes its guests in an authentic environment steeped in history, the result of a renovation that honors Lombard tradition. The Pirola family has been managing this farm for generations, where their passion for authenticity and quality is evident in every detail, from hospitality to the products offered.

The restaurant, converted from the old stable and portico, features a fixed menu that changes weekly based on the availability of fresh produce from the farm. Lunch is served at 12:30 PM and dinner at 8:30 PM, with a unique service that requires punctuality. Guests are treated to house-made appetizers, two first courses, a meat main dish with a warm side, dessert, coffee, and a digestif, creating a culinary journey that follows the seasonal rhythm. Everything served is produced on-site, including meats, cured meats, fruits, vegetables, bread, pasta, jams, and desserts.

The shop allows visitors to take home the flavors of the farm, offering a selection of artisanally processed products, customizable gift packs, and an enriched offering from local agricultural partners. Ready-to-eat dishes can be ordered in advance, allowing guests to enjoy the restaurant’s specialties at home.

Five studios, converted from the old farmers' houses, are available for stays. Furnished simply yet invitingly, they include a private bathroom with a shower, TV, and heating; Wi-Fi is available upon request. One of the accommodations does not have a kitchen. Located just 15 kilometers from Milan, it combines the tranquility of the countryside with the vibrancy of the city.

During the warmer months, Cascina also features a small outdoor museum showcasing a unique collection of well-preserved vintage agricultural machinery, which is displayed during events and exhibitions. It offers a complete experience, blending nature, rural culture, and authentic flavors.
The restaurant at Cascina di Mezzo welcomes guests in a rustic and enchanting setting, created from the restored old barn and the adjacent portico. Here, the most authentic Lombard cuisine is celebrated, featuring a fixed menu that changes weekly according to the availability of fresh produce grown or raised on the farm.

Lunch is served at 12:30 PM and dinner at 8:30 PM, with a single seating that emphasizes punctuality. Each meal is a journey of genuine flavors, beginning with a selection of house appetizers, followed by two first courses and a meat dish served with a warm side. To conclude, a homemade dessert, coffee, and a digestif provide a complete dining experience in line with the farm's philosophy.

All ingredients come directly from the farm: meats, cured meats, vegetables, preserves, bread, and desserts are made with locally sourced raw materials, ensuring freshness and quality. The wine, in accordance with regional regulations, is exclusively Lombard and selected from local wineries.

Area Campagna

Cascina di Mezzo is situated amidst the rural landscape of the Parco Agricolo Sud Milano, one of the largest green spaces in Europe, just 15 kilometers from the city center. This prime location allows for an authentic countryside experience while still enjoying the convenience and attractions of a major metropolis. It is the perfect spot for those looking to rejuvenate amidst nature and tranquility, yet remain close to Milan with its cultural, artistic, and social offerings.

The surrounding area provides numerous opportunities for hiking or biking along paths that wind through cultivated fields, canals, and tree-lined avenues, showcasing a vibrant and productive agricultural landscape. Near the farm, there are historic villages, medieval abbeys, and nature trails that reveal the lesser-known yet captivating aspects of the Lombard plain.

Due to its proximity to major road and rail junctions, the facility also serves as a strategic point for business travelers or those wanting to alternate relaxing days in nature with quick trips into the bustling heart of the city. It's an ideal setting for anyone seeking a balance between rural authenticity and urban stimulation.
