Area Campagna

The attic apartment is located in Frontone, a small village in the Marche hinterland at the foot of Monte Catria, perfectly situated for those who wish to alternate relaxing days in nature with excursions to art cities and historic towns. From the windows, you can enjoy a captivating view of the Frontone Castle, an ancient medieval fortress overlooking the valley, as well as the peaks of Monte Catria, also known as the “Gibbo,” mentioned by Dante Alighieri in the 13th canto of Paradise.

The area offers a variety of opportunities throughout the year. Hiking and trekking enthusiasts can explore the trails on Monte Catria and nearby Monte Acuto, while cycling lovers will find routes surrounded by greenery suitable for various skill levels. In summer, the cable car departing from Caprile allows easy access to an altitude of 1,400 meters, where the climate remains pleasantly cool even on the hottest days. During winter, the area transforms into a ski resort with slopes dedicated to alpine skiing and other snow activities.

The location is also an excellent starting point for visiting some of the most charming towns in the Marche and Umbria regions. Within less than an hour, you can reach the Fonte Avellana Monastery nestled in the Catria woods, the elegant Renaissance city of Urbino with its Ducal Palace, Gubbio with its remarkable medieval historic center, as well as Cagli and Pergola, famous for the precious Golden Bronzes. The spectacular Frasassi Caves, one of the most important karst complexes in Europe, are also worth a visit.

For those wanting to spend a day at the beach, the Adriatic shores of Marotta and Senigallia are easily accessible by car, allowing visitors to combine the charm of the Marche interior with the enjoyment of the coast. Between pristine nature, food and wine traditions, cultural routes, and outdoor activities, Frontone is an ideal destination for an authentic vacation full of rich experiences.
