Bricco Aivè is an eco-friendly retreat exclusively for adults, located in Costigliole d’Asti, in the heart of the UNESCO hills of Piedmont. Housed in a carefully restored 19th-century red-brick building by Gerardo and Gabriel, it welcomes guests into an intimate and elegant setting where sustainability and comfort coexist in perfect harmony. The energy used is sourced from renewable resources, and the management practices are environmentally friendly, creating an atmosphere that feels like a true oasis of peace and relaxation.

The apartments, designed for two guests, feature spacious layouts, fully equipped kitchens, and high-speed internet for those wishing to work remotely, along with breathtaking views of the vineyards. The Garden Apartment includes a private terrace overlooking the pool, while the Belvedere offers charming valley views through its large windows and a retro-style living room. The panoramic pool, surrounded by greenery, invites guests to enjoy moments of pure wellness in a setting that ensures privacy and tranquility, thanks to its adults-only and non-smoking policy.

Mornings can begin with light and healthy breakfasts, either vegetarian or vegan, made with natural products, with the option to add croissants, organic eggs, and cheeses. From June to December, guests can partake in authentic truffle experiences, joining expert truffle hunters in the search for the prized tuber, concluding with tastings of local dishes at nearby restaurants.

The surrounding area invites exploration: Alba and Asti with their culinary traditions, the underground cathedrals of Canelli, and the wine villages of Neive, Barbaresco, and Barolo, not to mention Nizza Monferrato and its markets. The trails winding through vineyards and hazelnut groves offer opportunities for hiking or biking, while Turin, the first capital of Italy, is less than an hour away. The Ligurian coast is also easily accessible for a day trip.

Bricco Aivè is a destination for those who appreciate nature, fine wine, culture, and a slow-paced lifestyle. A stay here is an immersion in the most authentic landscape of Piedmont, amidst Barbera and Moscato vineyards, the aroma of truffles, and genuine hospitality.

Hey, I'm Gerardo & Gabriel

Gerardo and Gabriel are the hosts of Bricco Aivè. After spending years in Spain, France, and Germany, they decided to settle in the heart of Piedmont to fulfill their dream of living among the vineyards and restoring an old family farmhouse. Their international experience and love for travel have enabled them to create a welcoming and authentic atmosphere, where a commitment to nature and sustainability blends with warm hospitality. They happily share personalized recommendations with guests to help them discover less touristy spots, local producers, and routes that reveal the true essence of the Langhe and Monferrato regions.

Area Collina

Costigliole d’Asti is situated in the heart of Monferrato, one of the most renowned wine regions in the world and part of the UNESCO-protected cultural landscape that includes the Langhe and Roero. The village is surrounded by gentle hills adorned with vineyards and hazelnut orchards, which change color with the seasons, offering ever-changing views. Here, wine takes center stage: Barbera, Moscato, Barolo, and Barbaresco all originate from these fertile lands, and local wineries provide tasting experiences that share the history and passion of their producers.

This area is not only synonymous with exceptional wines but also with culinary traditions. In the autumn, the aroma of white truffles fills the markets and restaurants, making the travel experience even more special. Nearby cities such as Alba, known for its International Truffle Fair, and Asti, famous for the Palio and its sparkling wines, are just a few kilometers away. Canelli is home to spectacular underground cathedrals, ancient wineries carved into tuff that are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, while Nizza Monferrato is famous for its antique markets and lively square atmosphere.

The historic villages that dot the hills, such as Neive, Barbaresco, and Barolo, offer charming views, artisan shops, and wine cellars where time seems to slow down. Nature lovers can explore trails that wind through vineyards and forests, perfect for hiking or cycling, with vistas that suddenly reveal castles, medieval churches, and bell towers.

For those looking to broaden their horizons, the elegant city of Turin, rich in museums and historic buildings, is less than an hour away. A little over an hour's drive will take you to the Ligurian coast, ideal for a day at the beach. Therefore, the Costigliole d’Asti area is an ideal crossroads for those seeking a stay that combines relaxation, culture, nature, and culinary delights, all set within one of Italy's most captivating and authentic landscapes.
