Just a few minutes from the picturesque Lake Orta, the Melizio B&B is a beautifully restored ancient stone mill, nestled in an authentic and unspoiled landscape, away from the mainstream tourist paths. Here, nature takes center stage, creating a peaceful atmosphere ideal for those seeking relaxation and simplicity.

Surrounded by a large garden with a babbling brook, the B&B welcomes guests into a homely environment, filled with affectionate furry friends, including cats and two cuddly dogs, who are allowed in the house but not in the guest areas.

The double rooms, equipped with private bathrooms and the option for extra beds, provide a warm and inviting ambiance, featuring wooden floors, exposed beams, lofts, and stone walls. Each room opens onto a charming wooden balcony overlooking the garden.

Breakfast is a special occasion, prepared with care, honoring local traditions and flavors, including homemade jams, artisanal cakes and cookies, local honey, and a variety of sweet and savory specialties. The Melizio B&B also prioritizes sustainability, employing photovoltaic and solar thermal panels for electricity and hot water production. It’s the perfect retreat for those wishing to immerse themselves in nature and rediscover the joy of simple pleasures.
Rooms and Rates

Hey, I'm Maurizio

What brought us together from the very beginning was our passion for nature and the dream of having a home surrounded by expansive green spaces where we could nurture our aspirations. During our explorations, we were fortunate to come across an ancient stone mill, abandoned and forgotten, which sparked an immediate love within us. We have diligently worked to revive this dwelling and the beautiful surroundings, striving to preserve its authenticity. Step by step, we have turned our dream into reality, surrounding ourselves with numerous animals, many of whom were in need of help, enriching our days and helping to create a haven of peace and tranquility, away from the stresses of daily life. Since 2006, we have chosen to share the wonders that this enchanting corner has to offer with our guests.

Area campagna

The B&B Melizio is situated in an ideal location, surrounded by the peacefulness of nature yet close to towns that provide all essential services, including hospitals, banks, and shopping centers, located about 15 kilometers away.

Just a short walk from Lake Orta, which is a destination full of charm, the area allows for easy access to other highly interesting tourist districts. Valsesia, the Ossola Valleys, and the Valgrande National Park, the largest wilderness area in Europe, present extraordinary natural landscapes. Additionally, Lake Maggiore, with its unique scenery and famous localities along its shores, is less than thirty kilometers away.

For those arriving by car, the recommended exits are Borgomanero or Gravellona Toce on the A26 Genoa Voltri-Gravellona-Sempione highway. From there, following the signs to Lake Orta leads to Gozzano and then to San Maurizio d’Opaglio, continuing towards the Pianelli area along the road that connects Pogno to Pella, near the bridge over the Scarpia stream. For travelers using public transportation, San Maurizio d’Opaglio is accessible by buses coming from Borgomanero, Borgosesia, and Omegna, all served by the railway. The stop near the Parish Church is about three hundred meters from the B&B.
