Zizzihome is a bed and breakfast created from the desire to share a home filled with history, memories, and affection. The owner, Anna, has turned this residence into a warm, vibrant, and authentic space where every item tells a piece of her story. The very name reflects her connection to her son Filippo, with “Zizzi” being a tribute to him, while “Home” evokes the idea of hearth and family—values that guide the spirit of the hospitality provided.

Guests can choose from two distinct and comfortable environments. The Multicolor Space, located on the raised ground floor with an independent entrance, is a lively and bright area, perfect for those who enjoy cheerful and dynamic tones. The Jonathan Space, inspired by the famous novel "Jonathan Livingston Seagull," is situated on the first floor and serves as a more intimate and contemplative retreat. Both spaces include a French-style double bedroom, a living room, a hallway, and a private bathroom, as well as a corner with a refrigerator and a setup for making tea, herbal infusions, or coffee. There’s also a flat-screen TV with Netflix and thoughtful details designed to enhance the guests’ experience.

The day begins with an Italian breakfast that can be customized according to guests' preferences. During pleasant seasons, breakfast can be enjoyed outdoors in the garden, amidst quiet, secluded spots. The house is surrounded by green spaces that invite relaxation and guarantee moments of tranquility.

Anna welcomes guests with warmth and spontaneity, guided more by her instincts and heart than by traditional hospitality rules, aiming to make guests' experiences simple, genuine, and memorable.

Located in Legro di Orta, the position is particularly advantageous for exploring the area. Just a few minutes away are the Orta-Miasino train station, the historic center of Orta San Giulio, and the equipped beach with the restaurant “Luci sul Lago.” There are also noteworthy places like Villa Crespi, the brewery “Il Cantuccio,” and the bar-restaurant “Vecchia Stazione.” Legro is also known as the “painted village,” featuring murals that depict films shot around Lake Orta and in Piedmont, creating a true open-air museum that adds charm and character to the village.

For nature lovers, the trails starting from the village offer walks through the woods with stunning views of the lake. Additionally, Mottarone is a short distance away, providing views of the Alps, the Po Valley, and seven lakes, with attractions for both adults and children, including adventure parks, trail paths, and a panoramic bobsled track.

Zizzihome invites you to experience an authentic stay where the beauty of the surroundings intertwines with the familial hospitality of a home that remains vibrant through the stories it holds.
Rooms and Rates
Breakfast at Zizzihome is designed as a moment of tranquility and enjoyment, reflecting the cozy atmosphere of the house. Anna offers a traditional Italian breakfast featuring fresh, carefully selected products, complemented by hot beverages such as coffee, tea, or herbal infusions.

During the warmer months, guests can enjoy their meal outdoors in the garden, choosing from one of the quiet, private corners that surround the house, allowing them to start their day immersed in nature. There is a continuous focus on guests' preferences, with a willingness to customize breakfast according to individual tastes or needs, ensuring a delightful and personalized start to the day.

Hey, I'm Anna

Anna is a thoughtful and genuine hostess who welcomes her guests with warmth and spontaneity. Her hospitality is not fabricated; it comes from a natural desire to share the home she loves, filled with personal memories. Despite lacking professional experience in the field, she relies on her heart and instincts to make everyone feel truly at home, always ready to listen and meet individual needs. Mutual respect is essential to her: she offers attention, presence, and small gestures of care, while asking for sensitivity in return towards a home she views as an integral part of her life. With simplicity and transparency, she invites others to experience something authentic, free from formality, where sincere hospitality and sharing are what truly matter.

Area Collina

Zizzihome is located in Legro, a district of Orta San Giulio that combines the serenity of a hillside village with the proximity to the wonders of Lake Orta. In just a three-minute walk, you can reach the Orta-Miasino train station, which conveniently connects to the main localities in the area. A twenty-minute stroll takes you to the heart of Orta, one of the most picturesque villages in Piedmont, known for its historic center filled with cobbled streets, charming squares, and romantic views of the lake.

The area offers numerous opportunities for authentic experiences. Legro is recognized as “the painted village,” an open-air museum featuring dozens of murals inspired by films shot along the shores of the lake and in Piedmont, turning its streets into a unique and captivating cultural route. Nature enthusiasts can embark directly from the village on hiking trails that wind through woods and hills, providing spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Nearby, you'll find iconic places such as Villa Crespi, a 19th-century residence that gained fame for chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo's restaurant, and the equipped beach with the "Luci sul Lago" restaurant-pizzeria, perfect for relaxing moments by the lakeside. There are also typical pubs and trattorias, like “Il Cantuccio” and “Vecchia Stazione,” which enhance the local culinary offerings.

For those who enjoy high-altitude vistas, a twenty-minute drive will take you to Mottarone, a mountain that overlooks the area with a peak reaching 1,491 meters. From here, the view stretches from the Maritime Alps to Monte Rosa, from the Po Valley to seven different lakes, offering a unique spectacle. The area is equipped with adventure parks, mountain biking trails, and a panoramic bobsled track, making the mountain an ideal destination for families and sports enthusiasts.

Staying in Legro means having easy access to the intimate atmosphere of Lake Orta, one of the most romantic lakes in Italy, as well as the chance to explore the artistic, natural, and gastronomic heritage of Piedmont, achieving a perfect balance between culture, landscape, and the joy of living.
