The Mimosa Village is situated in a prime location at the foot of the Sette Fratelli Park, one of the most captivating natural areas in southern Sardinia. This regional park spans thousands of hectares and is regarded as a biodiversity sanctuary, home to Sardinian deer, wild boars, foxes, golden eagles, and many other protected species. The trails that wind through the park take you through forests of holm oaks and cork oaks, clear streams, and waterfalls, providing routes suitable for both experienced hikers and those who simply wish to enjoy a nature walk.
The area also has a strong connection to history and local traditions. Nearby, there are archaeological sites of significant interest, such as nuraghes and a well-preserved giant's tomb, which are remnants of the Nuragic civilization that inhabited the island over three thousand years ago. Not far away lies the village of San Gregorio, a small rural community that retains the authentic atmosphere of Sardinia.
This location allows for a blend of relaxing days in the hills with excursions to the sea: in less than half an hour, you can reach the beaches in the south and southeast, known for their white sands and crystal-clear waters, such as those at Costa Rei, Villasimius, and Geremeas. At the same time, in about twenty-five minutes, you can arrive in Cagliari, a vibrant capital offering culture, shopping, nightlife, and the charm of the historic Castello district.
Thus, the Mimosa Village serves as an ideal starting point to experience Sardinia in all its dimensions: wild nature, enchanting sea, millennia of history, and energetic cities.
