Declared by the Innkeeper
Nestled in the serene beauty of a hilly landscape and surrounded by the most authentic nature, Casa Casti is a family-run agriturismo that provides simple and genuine hospitality, inviting guests to embrace the slow pace of rural life. Located in the Arbus area, in the Sant'Antonio di Santadi district, it is just a few kilometers from the stunning beaches of the Costa Verde, such as Pistis, Torre dei Corsari, Funtanazza, and the famous Piscinas dunes.

The establishment features double, triple, and quadruple rooms with private bathrooms, as well as two single rooms with shared bathrooms. All rooms offer lovely views of the countryside. Amenities include daily cleaning, linen changes, Wi-Fi, toiletries, hairdryers, and outdoor parking.

The agriturismo is situated within the family-run farm, which cultivates the land using natural methods and is home to various animals: horses, donkeys, calves, pigs, dogs, and cats roam freely among the pastures and paths. The farm's produce, along with selections from local businesses, forms the basis of a healthy and traditional cuisine, served with passion in an authentic setting.

Behind the property, Monte Arcuentu rises, providing ideal trails for hiking and wildlife encounters. On request, horseback trekking can be arranged to explore the area. Nearby, you can also find the historic mines of Montevecchio, the fishing village of Marceddì, and the eponymous lagoon, while crossing the bridge offers easy access to the Oristano coast, with must-visit spots like Is Arutas and Tharros.

Casa Casti is the perfect place for those seeking tranquility, nature, and authenticity. Access is via a dirt road that can be navigated by any car, provided you drive carefully—this is a common feature of Sardinian farms, which maintain a strong connection to the land.

Hey, I'm Erika

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by one of our three sisters. Our greatest passion lies in the beauty of nature and everything surrounding it. Daniela, the eldest sister, has a special affection for flowers and plants; you will often find her immersed in the Mediterranean scrub, searching for medicinal herbs. Erika, the second sister, is an animal lover and is likely to be chatting with the group of donkeys and horses grazing freely. Ilaria, the youngest, studies natural and environmental sciences; feel free to engage her in discussions about environmental conservation and wildlife to capture her interest.

Area Campagna

The area where Casa Casti is located is one of the most captivating and wild regions of southwestern Sardinia. We are situated in the district of Sant’Antonio di Santadi, within the territory of Arbus, a place that remains genuine and not heavily developed, characterized by a landscape of gentle hills, pastures, Mediterranean scrub forests, and views that stretch out toward the sea. It is a spot where time seems to slow down, perfect for those looking to rejuvenate amidst nature.

Just a short drive away are some of the most stunning beaches along the Costa Verde: from Pistis, with its shallow sandy bottoms ideal for families and children, to the vast golden expanses of Torre dei Corsari, which are buffeted by the wind and framed by tall dunes. Further on lies Piscinas, a unique natural wonder in the Mediterranean, featuring dunes that rise up to 100 meters and plunge into a clear, untamed sea.

The inland areas offer equally breathtaking scenery. Behind the agriturismo stands Monte Arcuentu, a volcanic mountain range that dominates the landscape and provides numerous hiking trails. By ascending its paths, one can enjoy stunning views and encounter mouflons, hares, hawks, and many other species typical of Sardinian wildlife.

Nearby is the village of Marceddì, an ancient fishing village overlooking a brackish lagoon inhabited by pink flamingos and other aquatic species. Here, traditional fishing practices can still be observed, and visitors can savor dishes made from the freshest fish. By crossing the charming wooden bridge, one can access the Oristano coast, which boasts the spectacular beaches of Is Arutas, famous for its white quartz sand, and the archaeological site of Tharros, overlooking crystal-clear waters.

The region is also rich in historical and cultural evidence: the mines of Montevecchio, located about half an hour away, tell the story of a bygone industrial past, which is still visible in the mining villages and guided tours. Arbus and Guspini offer interesting insights into the local culture, featuring crafts, religious traditions, and gastronomy.

Thus, Casa Casti serves as an ideal starting point for exploring an authentic territory where the sea and mountains converge, and nature retains all its strength and beauty.
