Description
Situated in the heart of the countryside of Modica, in an elevated, charming position, the agriturismo "Il Melograno" is a perfect place to relax and experience the tranquillity of nature.

This family-run holiday farm, an old rural house recently refurbished with the walls preserving the typical local stones, offers friendly and quality service in an informal atmosphere.

The comfortable, air-conditioned bedrooms are all en-suite with bath and shower; some of them also include a cooking area.

The rooms, overlooking the valleys of the Ibleo plateau, are surrounded by a large courtyard and a garden where you can directly pick fruit in season: pomegranates, kakis, oranges, figs, prickly pears.

The adjacent, country-style restaurant, serves traditional food, prepared with the natural products grown in the farm. Our guests can enjoy the typical dishes of the local gastronomy, such as "cavatieddi" and "ravioli di ricotta", that is homemade pasta served with tomato sauce and pork meat; pulses soups with slices of homemade bread; the typical "scacce" and "pastizza" cooked in stone ovens; "arancini", an excellent rotisserie product; local cheeses; olives; traditional sweet specialities.

Conveniently situated just a few miles from many tourist destinations, the agriturismo "Il Melograno" is also an ideal touring base for exploring the surrounding area and visiting the baroque towns of Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Scicli and Noto, the archaeological sites of Cava d'Ispica and Camarina and the seaside resorts of Marina di Modica and Sampieri, where you can enjoy the facilities of some bathing establishments that have an agreement with the holiday farm.

For non-refundable discounted rates, when the facility requires it, the guest must pay in advance as indicated to complete the booking. Payment is not refunded in the event of a cancellation.

L'agriturismo è posizionato in zona centrale per chi vuole visitare Modica, Ragusa, Scicli, Marzamemi e anche per chi vuole fare qualche giorno di mare. La struttura è accogliente e la gestione è eccellente. Le cene, prenotate in anticipo, hanno il sapore del casereccio con piatti e prodotti tipici della zona. Ivana è sempre disponibile a soddisfare qualsiasi esigenza, a dare informazioni sui posti da vedere fino a cucinarti un fuori menù. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo.

Pienamente soddisfatti. L'agriturismo Il Melograno consiste in una serie di edifici rurali restaurati ed è collocato in aperta campagna, in una località che consente di apprezzare appieno il bel paesaggio modicano e la sua tranquillità. Punti di forza dell'agriturismo sono la gentilezza e la disponibilità dei gestori, che si prendono cura degli ospiti. In caso di pasti presso la struttura si consigliano gli antipasti rustici (realizzati con grande attenzione ai prodotti locali, come il grano russello o la fava cottoia) ed i dolci fatti in casa al mattino.

Agriturismo molto bello nella rilassante campagna modicana. Siamo stati accolti da Ivana con grande gentilezza e disponibilità. Ottima la colazione e la cena, servite in un ambiente familiare ma molto curato con prodotti locali e cucina tipica. Tutto super pulito, lenzuola morbide e profumatissime. Esperienza positiva e consigliata!
