The Gàttina B&B is situated in one of the most picturesque hilly areas of northern Sicily, at an elevation of about 400 meters, in the Gàttina district, less than two kilometers from the historic center of Naso. This part of the Messina territory features untouched rural landscapes dotted with olive groves, orchards, forests, and views that open up to the sea. The mild and breezy climate makes the stay enjoyable in every season.
The location is perfect for those who wish to experience the most authentic Sicily, nestled between the sea and the mountains. Just a short drive away are the beaches of Capo d’Orlando, Brolo, and the lesser-known yet charming Ponte Naso beach, ideal for those seeking peace and stunning views of the Aeolian Islands. Daily ferries to the islands depart from Capo d’Orlando, making it easy to plan day trips.
Additionally, the area serves as a strategic starting point for exploring the Sicilian hinterland and the villages of the Nebrodi Park, one of the island's green lungs. In less than an hour, you can reach locations such as San Marco d’Alunzio, Montalbano Elicona, Floresta, and the extensive network of nature trails that wind through the park. For those with more time, iconic destinations like Taormina, the Alcantara Gorges, Cefalù, and even Mount Etna are easily accessible.
All essential services are located nearby the B&B: supermarkets, bars, tobacco shops, restaurants, and pizzerias, with a main road (SS116) that conveniently connects the area to both the coast and the interior. The environment is calm and relaxing, yet never isolated, allowing for easy movement to explore all the best that northeastern Sicily has to offer.
