Farmhouse in Etna Park
Cirasellaetna to welcome our guests stay in a lava stone farmhouse surrounded by high trees. The view of the top of the volcano and the sea through woods and orchards helps make this place peaceful and spectacular.

Cirasellaetna is the ideal starting point for visiting the summit craters of Etna or such surrounding tourist places of great interest as Taormina and Syracuse.

Cirasellaetna is also home to a cultural center that holds classes for adults and children on Yoga, ecology and organic farming.

Our guests stay in a cottage in lava stone from the mid-19th century, completely renovated. Born as a house of the families of farmers it was partly used for storage of fruit, cereals and oil, "millstone", or place of production and storage of wine, accommodation for the few heads of animals using the simple life of those times.

There were created 4 comfortable rooms each with independent entrance and bathroom, of course, fresh, perfectly furnished, heated in cold weather. In total there are 13 beds.

There are three possible forms of acceptance that can be agreed upon on a daily basis:

We stayed two nights at Laura and Giuseppe's CirasellaEtna. It is a perfect calm hideaway, surrounded by lush nature and a great starting point to explore the Mount Etna region. At night, you hear nothing but the wind in the trees and get woken up by birdsong. There is a special feel about the place that makes one relax immediately. Laura is a great host and a very good cook who uses what she has in her environment to come up with very tasty typical Sicilian dishes. Everyone eats together at a large table, which is great as it means meeting people and making the holiday feel more inclusive. Breakfast included homemade yogurt, marmalade, eggs, fruit, and so much more it left nothing to be desired. Dinner was a three-course meal plus side dishes and freshly baked cake accompanied by wine. I recommend it to anyone who wants to be in a natural environment, explore the great surroundings of Mt. Etna, and eat well after a day out and about.

We are a group of 6 adults, staying in the property the night before going to Etna. The dinner and the breakfast were excellent, cuisine totally authentic Sicilian, accommodation authentically rural. Very friendly hosts, ideal location for our needs. The vibe of Etna in the air. The best agriturismo I have ever been.

Laura and Giuseppe were wonderful hosts. Their renovation of an old winery sire is amazing! We had a wonderful, traditional Sicilian dinner the first night, and breakfast had so much of everything good, we could hardly walk! The area around CirasellaEtna had so much to explore, from lava tunnels and craters, to beautiful forsts and winery visits. We had a great couple days!

Summary: one of the best ever locations in Italy, with perfect food and warmest hospitality ever. Sicily has been on our wish list for years. Our choice to stay at La Cirasella, 1.000 m up the Etna slopes, greatly added to the indeed great experience the island turned out to be. The warm welcome already started during booking, where Laura went out of her way to provide near instant help with all our questions. When arriving at 9 pm we were invited to the main dining table to find a wide variety of delicious dishes set out for our first of many great dinners. Each morning we and the other guests were amazed at the assortment of delicious, often home-cooked and healthy breakfast dishes. Indeed the nicest start of yet another day of walking the Etna slopes, visiting historic towns, and strolling on the beaches. And of course enjoying Italian ice cream :-) Tip: try pistachio ice cream, you'll want to take a big box home with you. La Cirasella is located in the Etna national park and a great start, some right out of the gate, for walks on the lava flows and near moon-like landscapes. From our quiet and relaxing apartment, the cities of Taormina, Giarre, Catania, and many idyllic small mountain towns were within easy reach. A nice bonus to all this are the warm and energetic hosts Laura and Pippo. With Laura, we had nice conversations during (did I say delicious already?) dinner and breakfast. A great touch for us is having our meals at one big table with the other guests. We learned about Malta from our neighbors and had chats about all kinds of small and big topics. We can advise all readers looking for a place to stay in beautiful Sicily to at least check out La Cirasella as an option. You will not regret it for a minute! The property is very good and close to Etna. The apartment is old but has everything you need. In the evening, the friendly owner Giuseppe came to light the fireplace. Unfortunately, the owner Laura was very uninterested and not at all hospitable. The common room was constantly locked and the WiFi, which only worked there, was repeatedly turned off. There was no phone signal on the property, making planning difficult. Unfortunately, we did not feel welcome at all by her.

Buongiorno, la famiglia in questione è venuta fuori orario di check in, alle 14, giorno di pioggia, (sottoscritta con la febbre, sola in casa), li ho accolti normalmente, ho offerto il caffè, ho disegnato la mappa dei luoghi di interesse intorno. Ho dato la password del wifi, porta salone aperta, luci, stanza da letto consegnata...L'indomani hanno voluto la colazione fuori orario e l'hanno avuta. Gli ospiti hanno le chiavi, entrano ed escono quando vogliono. Quando non c'è nessuno in casa (e non mi hanno detto cosa volevano fare, sono usciti per cenare) chiudiamo la porta del soggiorno, sono venuti a cercarmi e l'ho aperta...mio marito è tornato la sera e ha acceso la stufa per loro...insomma noi abbiamo fatto più del normale e non ci aspettavamo questa recensione di insulti e falsità, Vorremmo che fosse rimossa, se no dovrò dichiarare che hanno mentito, non hanno rispettato le regole della casa e sono stati serviti lo stesso, e in definitiva avevano "problemi personali" incluso il maltempo che comunque non dipende da noi Grazie.

Highly recommended accommodation, Laura and Giuseppe are two very lovely hosts, the accommodation is in a perfect location for nature and peace-seeking people and an ideal starting point for hikes in the Etna region. Laura's cooking skills are particularly noteworthy, dinner was an experience every day. Not to forget a walk through the old orchard with a fantastic view of Mount Etna.

Farmhouse on Etna managed by Laura and Giuseppe with the typical Sicilian hospitality - We became part of their family. Laura really pampered us with her exceptional cuisine, Giuseppe with his stories. Highly recommended for those who want to experience nature and the most authentic Sicily, for those who want to slow down the frenetic pace that overwhelms daily life.

A corner of paradise, immersed in a splendid reserve. Laura and Pippo are two helpful and interesting people, with whom you absolutely must have a chat. The location is great and the owners know how to give very useful advice on what to see in the surroundings. The breakfast is a dream, and for dinner there are no words to describe all the abundant delicacies that the owners prepare. \nA place to return to, as soon as possible.

The informal and authentic welcome, the sense of discreet hospitality of the hosts, the silence and peace of the neighboring woods, the good and genuine food, characterized by always different dishes, make this structure a truly magical place that made our vacation special! The hosts are deep connoisseurs of Etna and all the surrounding realities and spontaneously create simple maps with the aim of "guiding" travelers and hikers to discover the places of the volcano, from the simplest excursions to the more adventurous ones. The structure is indeed located in a strategic starting point for the various Etna itineraries or even for excursions in the nearby sea areas, including the splendid Taormina.

We were very well received by the managers who also had a special consideration for our four-legged friends. Friendly and courteous without affectation, they provided us with all the valuable information to carry out our excursions on Etna. Good breakfast as well as dinner with local products mainly grown on the farm and well cooked. A fundamentally spartan and essential structure with the true country flavor, just as we were looking for. We immediately felt at home thanks to the welcoming attention offered by the owners, wife Laura and husband Giuseppe, towards the relationships with their guests. Beautiful estate with a fantastic location right under the volcano.

How not to fall in love with the Cirasella Etna farmhouse. There we found peace, relaxation, good food prepared with love and precision. The nature surrounding the cozy rustic structure and the blend of wisdom and friendliness of the owners Laura and Giuseppe are decisive factors in stating that it is a farmhouse to return to.

Hey, I'm Laura

Laura and Joseph chose for many years to retire to the countryside to live simply and practicing sustainable organic farming. Participation in the rhythms of nature helps them get into mystical relationship of love with life and all living things. To do this they started to rebuild (even with their own manual labor) the old stone houses of the farmers and put back into production the typical orchard, only through their own efforts, without government aid, with pioneering spirit. Joseph loves trekking and walks around the volcano and is passionate about the crafts and mechanical, like turn on his Harley davison and skeet shooting, like all animals, especially dogs, Italian music and the works. Laura loves walks, yoga, reading, the polyphonic singing, cooking healthy foods and tasty with Sicilian ingredients and imagination.
