Giogaia is a cozy bed & breakfast nestled in the lush hills of the Iblei, just a short distance from the historic center of Modica, famous for its Baroque architecture, and only a few kilometers from the sea. This farmhouse, originally built in the 1980s with an earthquake-resistant structure for storing durum wheat from the Modica countryside, has been lovingly and dedicatedly transformed into a comfortable and welcoming accommodation.

Area Collina

La Giogaia is situated on the hill overlooking Modica Alta, along the road to Giarratana, in a place known as "Mauto," just outside the town center. Old topographic maps reveal that it was once referred to as "Manto" due to its extensive oak forest, of which some ancient specimens can still be admired today. This area is characterized by a peaceful ambiance and a cool climate, making it an ideal destination for the locals of Modica, who would retreat there in the summer to spend their holidays in countryside homes or as guests in historic and charming farmhouses that are still visible in the area.
