Nestled in the Iblean countryside, Tenuta Carcara is an organic farm that spans over 48 hectares and provides accommodation in four independent lodgings. These were created through a careful restoration process that preserved the original essence of the rural structures. Each house opens onto a spacious internal courtyard made of limestone and is equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, independent air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV, ensuring privacy and comfort.

The Casa del Grano, with its 156 square meters, accommodates up to six guests in generously sized and well-organized spaces, featuring two bathrooms and a masonry kitchen. The Casa del Forno, highlighted by a functioning ancient wood-fired oven, is ideal for four guests and boasts charming ceilings with exposed beams. Casa di Pietra, cozier yet equally well-maintained, offers a warm atmosphere thanks to the natural stone and wood. Lastly, the Casa del Ficodindia, suitable for two or three people, is notable for its charming ancient stone feeding troughs and lack of architectural barriers.

In addition to the accommodations, guests can unwind in the stable, which has been converted into a reading room, or in the carriage house turned TV room. The large garden, filled with Mediterranean plants, the barbecue area, and the organic vegetable garden enhance the experience, providing peaceful spots and authentic flavors. From the stone seating, one can enjoy a picturesque view of sunsets that illuminate the countryside all the way to the sea.

The location is perfect for exploring the wonders of southeastern Sicily: Marina di Ragusa is just 10 km away, while Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Scicli, and Noto are all easily accessible. Day trips can also be made to Syracuse, Catania, Taormina, or even Malta, departing from the port of Pozzallo. Tenuta Carcara embodies a harmonious blend of nature, history, and hospitality.

The Carcara Estate is situated in the heart of southeastern Sicily, a region abundant in contrasts, where cultivated fields coexist with the baroque outlines of historic towns and the bright glow of sandy coastlines. Just a few kilometers away, one can find places of extraordinary beauty and cultural significance: Ragusa Ibla, Modica, and Scicli, all recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, enchant visitors with their historic centers carved from stone, stunning churches, quiet alleys, and the vibrancy of local traditions.

Modica is renowned for its artisanal chocolate made using an ancient Aztec recipe, while Scicli offers picturesque views that inspired the popular series featuring Inspector Montalbano, filmed largely in these streets. Ragusa Ibla, with its cathedral and the Iblei gardens, is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates baroque art and architecture.

Approximately 10 kilometers from the estate lies Marina di Ragusa, known for its golden beaches, a lively promenade lined with cafes and restaurants, and a modern, well-equipped marina. Other famous beaches, such as Punta Secca—home to Montalbano’s house—and Sampieri, showcase untouched coastlines, crystal-clear waters, and Mediterranean landscapes.

Archaeology enthusiasts can explore the site of Kamarina, an ancient Greek colony overlooking the sea, while those looking to venture further can easily reach Syracuse, with its Greek theater and the island of Ortigia, or Catania and Taormina, located at the foot of Mount Etna.
