Nestled among the hills of the Iblei plateau, Casale Valle dell’Acanto welcomes guests to spacious apartments equipped with a kitchenette, private bathroom, air conditioning, and heating. Each accommodation features an outdoor area furnished with a pergola or gazebo, table, and chairs, while the communal spaces include a swimming pool with a sun terrace, a green lawn, a playground, laundry facilities, and a picnic area with a barbecue. The property, built in typical Mediterranean style at the end of the 19th century, was renovated in 2008, preserving its original materials and design.

The name originates from the abundant presence of acanthus leaves in the valley, creating a natural environment that encourages relaxation. Just a short walk away, visitors can explore a 5th-century cave, once a place of worship that over the centuries has been transformed into a chapel, olive mill, and stable, serving as a testament to the millennia-long history of the area.

Every morning, a breakfast rich in local flavors is served, featuring fresh milk, tea, coffee, lemonade, homemade bread and pastries, traditional cookies, local jams and honey, as well as yogurt, eggs, cheeses, and ricotta sourced from nearby farms.

Managed since 2008 by Tina and Filippo, the farmhouse is the perfect retreat for those who love nature and local traditions. Its location, surrounded by countryside yet close to main transportation routes, allows for easy exploration of the Iblei plateau's caves, visits to the baroque cities of Modica, Scicli, Ragusa Ibla, and Noto, and quick access to the nearby beaches.

In addition to milk, coffee, tea, and lemonade, guests can enjoy homemade bread, cakes, and tarts, traditional cookies, carob sweets, artisanal jams, and local honey. There are also yogurt, eggs, cheeses, and locally sourced ricotta, ensuring a day starts with genuine and authentic flavors.

The Valley of the Acanto is situated in a rural region of the Ibleo plateau, where the landscape features natural caves, dry stone walls, and expanses cultivated with carob trees, olive trees, and almond trees. This area is perfect for those who appreciate slow tourism, with natural trails that allow visitors to explore ancient quarries and soak in the authentic ambiance of the Sicilian countryside.
