Agata's house is a countryside residence nestled in the tranquility of Valdarno, situated at over 600 meters above sea level, surrounded by greenery and offering a wide view of hills and open skies. Here, time flows at a natural pace, and the ambiance encourages relaxation, making the stay enjoyable in every season for those looking to rejuvenate in nature's silence, as well as for those who love outdoor activities along paths, woods, and country roads.

The house is located a few kilometers above Loro Ciuffenna, in a secluded and peaceful area, and has been carefully renovated to accommodate up to six guests. The three bedrooms, each with a private entrance, are bright, quiet, and thoughtfully decorated; they come with a private bathroom, free Wi-Fi, and can host only two guests, with the option to add a crib for children aged 0 to 2 years at no extra charge. The beds feature slatted bases, ergonomic mattresses, and pillows, along with high-quality linens, all designed to ensure a deep and comfortable rest.

Outside, the panoramic terrace and the garden surrounding the house serve as spaces to enjoy at any time of the day, from breakfast in the open air to sunset cocktails, when the valley is bathed in warm lights and tranquil silence. Every morning, a homemade breakfast is served with fresh, seasonal products, including artisanal pastries, bread, jams, yogurt, muesli, fruit juices, eggs, cheeses, and cold cuts; it can be delivered directly to the room upon request.

By reservation, a home restaurant service is available, offering a convivial and authentic experience, with a small number of guests gathered around a single table. The cuisine is based on zero-kilometer ingredients sourced from the farm and local small producers, featuring handmade fresh pasta, seasonal dishes, and traditional recipes reinterpreted simply. When the weather permits, dinner is served on the terrace overlooking the countryside, turning the meal into a moment of gathering and storytelling, in addition to being a delightful culinary experience.

The location is strategic for exploring Tuscany: cities of art such as Florence, Arezzo, and Siena can be reached in about an hour, while the surroundings are dotted with charming villages, Romanesque churches, and picturesque landscapes. Not to be missed are the unique natural formations of the Balze del Valdarno and the Pieve di Gropina, among the most notable examples of Tuscan Romanesque architecture. It is recommended to use a car for transportation; from Loro Ciuffenna, there are connections to Arezzo and the train stations of Montevarchi and San Giovanni Valdarno, and the town offers essential services, shops, and restaurants.

Throughout the year, friendly dogs and cats live in the house, and well-behaved pets are also welcome. To reach the property, a short stretch of unpaved road must be traversed, followed by a small uphill path of about thirty meters from the parking area.
Rooms and Rates
Breakfast is a carefully curated experience, receiving the same attention as our hospitality, designed to kickstart the day with flavor and simplicity. Each morning, we offer homemade dishes made from fresh, seasonal ingredients that reflect the authentic tastes of the countryside and the joy of genuine fare.

When the weather permits, breakfast can be enjoyed outdoors, surrounded by tranquility, clean air, and expansive views of the valley, turning the first meal of the day into a moment of peace and well-being.

Upon request, breakfast can also be served directly in your room, allowing for an even more leisurely and private start to the day, accompanied by the aromas of coffee and freshly prepared items.
The dining service is designed as an intimate and communal experience for those who wish to enjoy the countryside at the table, with a leisurely pace and a cozy atmosphere. Dinners are held by reservation, bringing together a small number of guests around a single table, where the enjoyment of food intertwines with conversation in a simple and authentic setting.

The cuisine emphasizes locally sourced ingredients, many of which come directly from the farm and small local producers. The dishes follow the rhythm of the seasons, featuring handmade fresh pasta, traditional recipes, and reimagined dishes that highlight the quality of the ingredients without any excess.

When the weather permits, dinner is served on the panoramic terrace overlooking the valley, surrounded by soft lighting and the tranquility of the countryside, making each meal a memorable occasion. More than just a restaurant, it is a place for gathering and sharing, where guests can feel at home. The service is available exclusively by request, arranged in advance to ensure attention and care for every detail.

Hey, I'm Lorenzo

Lorenzo, the host, was born in Montevarchi and has recently chosen to move to the countryside above Loro Ciuffenna, bringing along his inseparable four-legged companions, Chuck the dog and the cats Gala and Cruccio. He has a deep understanding of this house and its history, having visited it in previous years while caring for his bees during the summer months, closely observing the care and dedication that have gone into enhancing it. He enjoys hands-on work and direct contact with the land, a passion that is evident in his farm, where he produces honey, extra virgin olive oil, and iris flowers. His days are spent surrounded by nature, taking walks in the woods, trekking with his loyal dog Chuck, and tending to the vegetable garden behind his house, which provides him with fresh produce and authentic flavors. He embraces a simple and genuine lifestyle, shaped by the seasons, tranquility, and the lesser-known landscapes of Tuscany. Welcoming guests brings him genuine joy: he will be present when you arrive and will be available throughout your stay for any needs, eager to suggest itineraries, experiences, and hidden gems of the area. For Lorenzo, hospitality is about sharing, connection, and storytelling—a way to help others discover this corner of the countryside through the eyes of someone who experiences it every day.

Area Campagna

The area where the property is located is an authentic corner of Tuscany, suspended between nature, history, and expansive landscapes. The Valdarno region stretches across gentle hills, olive groves, forests, and quaint stone villages, offering views that change with the seasons and inviting outdoor activities such as walks, trekking, and scenic routes away from the more crowded tourist spots.

Just a few kilometers away lies Loro Ciuffenna, a medieval village perched on spectacular gorges, featuring narrow streets, stone houses, and charming views of the stream below. It is a lively and well-maintained town, home to services, shops, restaurants, and an atmosphere still connected to the local way of life, making it perfect for an evening stroll or a pause between history and everyday life.

The surrounding landscape is made unique by the Balze del Valdarno, impressive natural formations of clay and sand shaped over time, which create almost lunar scenes and panoramic trails beloved by nature walkers. Not far away, you can also find the Pieve di Gropina, an extraordinary example of Tuscan Romanesque architecture set amidst the countryside, known for its great historical and architectural charm.

Additionally, the location is strategic for exploring some of the most famous art cities in the region: within about an hour's drive, you can reach Florence, Arezzo, and Siena, allowing for a blend of days spent in museums and monuments with moments of tranquility in the countryside. This area combines culture, nature, and rural traditions, making it ideal for those seeking an authentic Tuscany filled with silence, open vistas, and a slower pace of life.
