My mother, Maria Gabriella, chose to come from Tuscany; she fell in love with this enchanting land forty years ago, which is no surprise given the charm of these extraordinary places, rich in art and surrounded by stunning nature (not to mention the delicious local cuisine!). I passionately manage this beautiful home turned B&B, an inheritance from my mother, from whom I also inherited a love for refined decor and, most importantly, for hospitality—a value she cherished deeply. Just a few steps from the Porta di Sant’Agata, the ancient entrance to the medieval village of Monticchiello, Guido and Simonetta welcome guests into a setting that embodies the true spirit of Tuscan hospitality. The property, a farm dating back to the late 16th century, has been recently and carefully renovated to provide a comfortable stay immersed in the beauty of the Val d’Orcia. Located at the foot of the village, it offers stunning views of the ancient towers and the surrounding walls, enveloping guests in a timeless ambiance.

The three guest rooms and two annexes are tastefully decorated with attention to detail, blending traditional charm with modern comforts. Each space is designed to ensure maximum relaxation, featuring amenities such as Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, and a well-equipped kitchen available for guests. The breakfast room, complete with an open kitchen, is a bright and inviting space that opens onto a well-kept garden, where guests can enjoy a hearty and authentic breakfast each morning, made from local ingredients and inspired by Tuscan tradition.

The kitchen, with its elegant marble table, serves as the heart of the home, a place where traditional flavors come to life. The tastefully furnished living room provides an intimate and cozy atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the Val d’Orcia. For those who enjoy reading, a dedicated room allows for immersion in a good book amidst the tranquility of nature. Outdoors, a spacious, furnished garden is available for guests, offering a perfect spot to enjoy the scenic views and the peacefulness of the Tuscan countryside. Monticchiello is the ideal starting point for discovering the Val d’Orcia, a land of enchanting landscapes and historically rich villages. Just a few kilometers away are Pienza, the Renaissance city founded by Pope Pius II, and Bagno Vignoni, a charming thermal village famous for its water square. Further along, Montalcino welcomes wine lovers with its renowned Brunello, while San Quirico d’Orcia captivates with its stunning Romanesque collegiate church. Nature enthusiasts will find countless hiking opportunities in the woods of Monte Amiata, whereas Montepulciano, known as the "Pearl of the 1500s," offers breathtaking views and world-famous Nobile wine. Nearby, Chiusi shares its ancient history through the National Etruscan Museum.
