Nestled in the heart of Val d'Orcia, Podere Casano is a family-run agriturismo located within a beautifully restored 18th-century farmhouse, meticulously renovated to maintain its authenticity and rustic charm. Surrounded by the tranquility of the Tuscan countryside and accessible via a short stretch of unpaved road, the estate serves as a true oasis for those looking to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy an authentic experience.

The guest apartments, each featuring a private entrance, a wood-burning fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen, retain the allure of traditional Tuscan farmhouses, boasting wooden ceilings and wrought iron beds. The available accommodations include "Noce," which has two double bedrooms and two bathrooms; "Susino," with one double bedroom, a small room with twin beds, and a bathroom; "Quercia," offering a double bedroom, a bathroom, and accessible facilities for individuals with disabilities; and "Ginestra," a romantic double room. The property also includes a communal area for breakfasts and snacks made from local products, as well as an outdoor pool with views of the hills.

During the winter months, the spaces are warmed by the fireplace, while in the warmer season, guests can relax by the pool or in the garden surrounding the farmhouse, enjoying the fresh country air. Nearby, one can find the natural hot springs of Bagni San Filippo and San Casciano dei Bagni, along with renowned villages such as Pienza, Montepulciano, and Montalcino, celebrated for their cheeses and wines.

The agriturismo's restaurant aims to highlight the culinary traditions of the region, offering dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Among the specialties are hand-rolled pici pasta with ragu, grilled Florentine steak, and toasted bread topped with locally produced pecorino cheese. To finish off the meal, traditional desserts like panforte or cantucci served with Vin Santo make every dining experience a moment of pure delight.

Podere Casano is the perfect choice for those seeking an authentic stay, filled with flavors, nature, and relaxation, in one of the most picturesque areas of Tuscany.

Hey, I'm Mauro

In 2001, I began the restoration of this charming farmhouse nestled in the countryside. Today, I live here with my family, and I am always captivated when tourists share that they have been looking for a place like this to unwind. Many visitors are eager to learn about the activities on our farm, and some have even taken part in milking the sheep. It brings me great joy to welcome so many people who come here to rejuvenate and enjoy direct contact with nature.
