Just a few kilometers from Pienza, in the heart of Val d’Orcia, Agriturismo Sant’Ansano welcomes its guests in an authentic setting where the beauty of the Tuscan countryside blends with the tranquility of nature. Situated along the ancient route of the Via Francigena, it offers ever-changing views, from the golden wheat fields in summer to the blooming meadows of spring, providing a natural backdrop that enhances each season.

The property, a tastefully renovated farmhouse, features three apartments and two rooms decorated in Tuscan style, equipped with satellite TV, independent heating, air conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator, and everything necessary for a comfortable stay. It can accommodate up to 20 guests, with the option to add extra beds. The spaces are designed to ensure privacy and relaxation, catering to both families and small groups.

Every morning, a hearty buffet awaits you in the breakfast room, featuring homemade pastries, freshly baked cakes, cookies, authentic jams, local cheeses, and cured meats. The hostess, Rosanna, enjoys pampering her guests from the moment they wake up, creating a warm and homely atmosphere.

Outside, a spacious garden equipped with a fenced pool, barbecue, children's play area, and sunbathing area allows for moments of pure relaxation. There is also a ping-pong table, a laundry area available for a fee, and covered parking. Only one pet is allowed, and events are not permitted, nor is smoking inside the premises.

The agriturismo is part of a family-run farm that cultivates grains, legumes, and sunflowers, inviting guests to explore the surrounding paths for pleasant walks in nature. Special attention is given to sustainability, with guidelines for waste separation provided on-site.

The location is perfect for visiting some of Tuscany's most charming spots: the thermal baths of Bagni San Filippo, Bagno Vignoni, and Chianciano Terme are easily accessible, as are the historic towns of Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Castiglione d’Orcia, and Radicofani, each with its own charm, flavors, and postcard-worthy views.

The ever-friendly staff is happy to offer advice and suggestions for exploring the area and making the most of your stay.

Area Campagna

The area where Agriturismo Sant’Ansano is located is one of the most enchanting in Italy: the Val d’Orcia, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, embodies the essence of the Tuscan landscape with its harmonious hills, rows of cypress trees, medieval villages, and fields that change color with the seasons. Every view here appears to be straight out of a painting, and the morning or sunset light offers hues that captivate the eye.

Just a few minutes away are Pienza, an elegant Renaissance town commissioned by Pope Pius II, renowned for its harmonious architecture and distinctive pecorino cheese, and Bagno Vignoni, famous for its thermal water square, a unique feature in the Italian landscape. Not far away, Bagni San Filippo provides an immersive experience of nature and wellness, with warm waterfalls flowing through the woods and the famous "white whale," a limestone formation shaped by the thermal waters.

The towns of Castiglione d’Orcia and Radicofani overlook the valley with their ancient fortresses, offering stunning views and a deep dive into medieval history. Montepulciano and Montalcino round out the journey of flavors: known worldwide for their fine wines, they are ideal destinations for tastings and strolls among Renaissance palaces, wine shops, and historic cellars.

This land is also traversed by the Via Francigena, an ancient pilgrimage route that combines history, spirituality, and nature, offering paths for walking or cycling through rejuvenating silences and timeless landscapes. The area is perfect for those seeking a relaxing vacation filled with authentic beauty, culture, gastronomy, and natural wellness.
