Nestled among the gentle hills of Tuscany, in Gambassi Terme, Agriturismo Santa Cristina welcomes its guests into a serene and beautiful oasis, surrounded by 160 hectares of forests, vineyards, and olive groves. A beautifully restored old village houses 13 independent apartments, each featuring a private outdoor space, a fully equipped kitchen, and authentically styled interiors that seamlessly blend with the Tuscan landscape.

Managed with passion by the Baragli family, the property has a long-standing tradition of hospitality and the cultivation of vines and olives. Guests can purchase wine and extra virgin olive oil directly, while those who appreciate the good life can take part in tastings, cooking classes, visits to artisan workshops, or simply unwind in the spacious shared garden. For those looking to fully recharge, the agriturismo offers two swimming pools—one for adults with a hot tub and another for children—set within a well-equipped sunbathing area.

Santa Cristina serves as an ideal starting point for discovering authentic Tuscany: Florence, Siena, Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano, and Certaldo are easily accessible, and the surrounding area offers unique experiences such as nature trails, cycling or horseback riding excursions, artisan workshops, and outdoor activities. The apartments are also accessible to people with disabilities, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Four-legged friends are welcome.

The attentive yet discreet management speaks Italian, English, French, and German and is happy to provide valuable recommendations for making the most of the region. Santa Cristina is not just an agriturismo; it is an immersive experience in the nature and culture of Tuscany, designed for those seeking tranquility, authenticity, and well-being.

Hey, I'm Ilaria

The Santa Cristina agriturismo is run by Ilaria and her family, the Baragli, who have always been passionately connected to the land and hospitality. With nearly thirty years of experience gained at Agriturismo Renai e Monte, also located in Gambassi Terme, the family embraced this new venture with enthusiasm, bringing along the same spirit of warm and genuine hospitality. Each guest is attended to with care and availability: Ilaria and her team are always on hand to provide personalized recommendations on what to see, where to dine, or how to best enjoy the area, with the insight of those who know and love it deeply. The atmosphere feels like a home away from home, where attention to detail is paired with the authenticity of human connections.

Area Campagna

The Santa Cristina agriturismo is located in the heart of Tuscany, in Gambassi Terme, within the province of Florence. This area is characterized by gentle, rolling landscapes, oak forests, well-kept vineyards, and ancient olive groves. The historic Via Francigena runs through the region, a path that has been traversed by pilgrims and travelers heading to Rome over the centuries, and is now rediscovered as a nature and spiritual itinerary. Strolling along its stretches allows one to immerse in an authentic Tuscany, where nature and silence take center stage.

Gambassi Terme is famous for its thermal waters and the peace it offers to those seeking a refreshing break. The small village, rich in history and charm, is surrounded by countryside that invites a slow pace and exploration. Its strategic location makes it ideal for those wanting to visit the region's artistic cities and most picturesque villages: San Gimignano, with its medieval towers, can be reached in just a few minutes; Volterra, Certaldo, Monteriggioni, Florence, Siena, and Pisa are all easily accessible for day trips.

In addition to its historical and artistic beauty, the area boasts a vibrant food and wine scene, as well as artisanal crafts. Wineries, olive oil mills, and workshops for ceramics, goldsmithing, and weaving offer tours and experiential paths that enrich the stay with authentic encounters. Outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of the numerous trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding, engaging actively with the landscape.

This is a region that maintains a strong connection to the land, where every corner tells a story and each sunset over the hills provides a daily-changing spectacle.
