Surrounded by vineyards and olivetrees, our 200 y. o. stone farmhouse is hilltop with a spectacular view on the valley. Ancora del Chianti provides bed-and-breakfast accommodation in a converted Chianti farmhouse.

Think of Tuscany and you probably picture somewhere like Ancora del Chianti. That means hospitality, a friendly atmosphere and magnificent scenery. Free WIFI connection.

The 200-year-old house is just 5 km outside Greve in Chianti, on a hilltop with charming views over the Greve valley - filled with ancient castles, picturesque villages, and farms where you can taste genuine local products.

Your hosts are Laura and Filippo. Laura will be taking care of you during your stay. She decorated the house herself and spends her spare time painting the flowers in the beautiful garden. Each morning she provides continental breakfast in the cosy dining room. Filippo, meanwhile, has devoted himself to the vineyards and the olive groves producing Chianti and olive oil - you will be welcome to sample both during your stay.

This is the perfect spot to relax, in the courtyard and on the lawns which surround the house. But when you venture further afield you'll find plenty to do. There are local castles, villages, and farms to visit, as well as excellent local walks, horse riding, mountain biking, tennis, lake fishing and much more. The best golf course in Florence is just 10 km from the house. Laura and Filippo are also happy to offer suggestions about wine tours with tastings in Chianti, Montalcino, San Gimignano and Montepulciano; visits to the major cities such as Florence, Siena and Arezzo; and shopping at the hottest fashion outlets.

Cancellation conditions (except for non-refundable rates)

You may cancel your booking up to 14 days before the check-in date. In the case of failure to show or late cancellation, you will be charged a penalty of 100% of the total cost of the booking

Payment terms

Balance to be paid at check-in
For non-refundable discounted rates, when the facility requires it, the guest must pay in advance as indicated to complete the booking. Payment is not refunded in the event of a cancellation.

Really enjoyed our stay. Laura was a very welcoming host and made our stay very enjoyable. She also booked us on an olive oil tour and tasting as well as a tour of a castle which is owned by a family which produces very fine wines (Verrazzano) and they served us a fantastic lunch.

The ex Farm is freshly redecorated in style. Laura charms everyone and is very knowledeble on the suroundings. Alexandra serves the best breakfast. at one big table and entertains the guests so that everyone starts talking. The best B&B we stayed at.

This haven of peace, ideally located to discover Tuscany and especially Chianti, is run by Laura who knows how to warmly welcome you and give you advice. What a luck to be able to come back in the evening after our excursions to the quiet of this beautiful property with a breathtaking view of the olive trees and vineyards.

Accueillis par Laura et Philipo nous avons passé un super séjour à Ancora del Chianti. Une chambre très agréable dans une belle propriété située dans cette belle Toscane que notre charmante hôtesse nous a aidé à découvrir. Et que dire des petits déjeuners et de la gentillesse de Daniella ou de Valentina, trop trop bon! Un enchantement.

Abbiamo soggiornato purtroppo solo una notte in questa struttura ma è stata un'esperienza spettacolare che rifaremo sicuramente molto presto. Laura e Debora gentilissime e professionali, la camera e in generale tutto pulitissimo, ben arredato e niente lasciato al caso. Vista mozzafiato, e colazione molto suggestiva in una veranda all aperto immersa nella quieta. Per raggiungere la struttura bisogna percorrere una strada sterrata, ma niente di infattibile, ne vale la pena. Parcheggio gratuito. Consigliatissimo.

Ottima struttura nel cuore del Chianti. I proprietari e Alessandra sono stati molto ospitali e disponibili. Fantastiche le torte di Alessandra per la colazione. Per raggiungere il B&B bisogna percorrere una lunga strada sterrata ma ne vale la pena data la vista magnifica di cui si gode una volta arrivati.

WELCOME TO ANCORA DEL CHIANTI!! Laura looks after the guests’ arrival and follows their stay with every detail. She is always happy to recommend restaurants, excursions, events and local points of interest in the area. She personally decorated the interior of the property and in particular loves to paint the flowers from the garden in watercolour. Her latest discovery is creative sewing producing originally designed cloth bags from remnants and recycled material. Filippo’s passion is for the land and the open air. At Ancora he looks after the vineyards and the olive groves, producing both wine and organic olive oil alongside a diligent participation in the Panzano Philarmonic Band where he plays the trumpet! At Bed & Breakfast Ancora del Chianti we speak English, French, German and Spanish and actively promote sustainable tourism.
