The establishment is situated in the village of Sant’Amato, 4 km from the center of Vinci, making it an ideal location for those who wish to experience the Tuscan countryside without missing out on the proximity to major art cities.

The accommodations include two double rooms and one triple room, all with private bathrooms, decorated in a rustic style with attention to detail, designed to ensure maximum comfort in a family-friendly atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the spacious panoramic terrace that encircles the house, perfect for an outdoor breakfast or a peaceful moment at sunset. Additionally, there is a garden with a relaxation area and a picnic spot among the olive trees, as well as private parking, free Wi-Fi, heated spaces, a kitchenette, and the freedom to return at any hour.

Every morning, a traditional Italian buffet breakfast is served, featuring homemade pastries, fresh fruit, bread, jams, yogurt, cereals, and hot beverages made to order. Gluten-free, lactose-free, and savory options are available upon request. Locally produced olive oil is simply offered on a slice of bread to fully appreciate its authentic flavor.

The hospitality is managed by Raffaella, who lives with her family on the upper floor of the house. Always present and available, she is happy to recommend itineraries, restaurants, and hiking paths to explore the area. The establishment warmly welcomes pets as well.

From Antica Bottega di Vinci, numerous trails for trekking and mountain biking branch out, including the scenic Via dei Mulini. Nearby, you can also find the Leonardian Museum, the Tuscan art cities of Florence, Pisa, Lucca, and Siena, as well as local events like the Unicorn Festival at the end of July.

This is an authentic place, rich in history, nature, and simplicity, designed for those seeking a refreshing and sincere getaway in the heart of Tuscany.

Hey, I'm Raffaella

The Ancient Shop of Vinci is run by Raffaella, who lives with her family on the upper floor of the establishment. With a passion for cooking, gardening, and outdoor living, Raffaella warmly welcomes guests and offers helpful tips for making the most of the area. Always around but never intrusive, she is happy to share her experiences of rural life, tell the story of the house—which once served as a grocery store for the nearby villages—and recommend routes through nature, art, and flavors.

Area Collina

The Ancient Shop of Vinci is located in the quaint village of Sant'Amato, nestled among the hills surrounding Leonardo's birthplace, in one of the most picturesque areas of the Tuscan countryside. Just 4 km from the center of Vinci and 2 km from the home where the great Renaissance genius was born, the region offers a harmonious landscape filled with olive groves, vineyards, white roads, and breathtaking views of the Arno valley.

This setting is perfect for those seeking tranquility, nature, and authenticity, away from mass tourism yet close to all the beauty Tuscany has to offer. Numerous trails of natural and historical interest start from the property, ideal for leisurely walks, hikes, or mountain biking. Among these, the “Via dei Mulini” stands out, an ancient path that traverses untouched areas where rural history blends with the landscape.

The strategic location allows for easy access to many of the region's main attractions: Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia, Siena, and San Gimignano are all less than an hour’s drive away, making the area an excellent starting point for cultural and gastronomic itineraries. The sea of Versilia and the thermal resorts in the Tuscan hinterland are also easily reachable for a day trip.

Throughout the year, the area hosts numerous events, including the famous Unicorn Festival that enlivens Vinci at the end of July with fantasy and medieval-themed activities. In every season, the region offers authentic experiences, achieving a perfect balance between art, nature, and tradition.
