Poderi Pratina is the result of the Giannoni family's long agricultural history, which dates back to the mid-19th century in Prato. Since then, generations of farmers have passed down their love for the land, continuing to cultivate simple and genuine rural values after moving to Valdinievole in 1958. It was here that Morando revitalized the farm by introducing crops like corn and millet, with the support of the Pistoia Agricultural Inspectorate.

Today, the tradition persists while embracing innovation: corn remains the primary crop, complemented by small productions of wheat, spelt, legumes, and goji berries. The farm participates in local markets in Valdinievole, offering products that reflect the history and identity of the region. In honor of agricultural heritage, a rural museum has been established for visitors.

The old granary of the farm has been converted into a welcoming agriturismo, maintaining its original structure. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen, a large living room with a fireplace, and a bedroom with a bathroom, while the upper floor features four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Every detail has been crafted with care: the furnishings were handmade by Alessio, and Piero selected the materials and finishes.

Guests are welcomed by Mara, who passionately prepares rich and delicious breakfasts using flours and jams produced on-site. The facility offers services such as daily cleaning, internal parking, luggage storage, and a 24-hour reception. Upon request, amenities like a swimming pool, barbecue, lunch and dinner services, guided tours, and shuttle service to the station or airport are available.

Set in an authentic and relaxing rural environment, Poderi Pratina agriturismo is the perfect starting point for exploring Tuscany's art cities, including Florence, Lucca, Pisa, and Siena, as well as nearby Montecatini Terme and Monsummano Terme. Here, one can still experience the genuine atmosphere of a true farm, where simplicity blends with attentive hospitality.

Area Campagna

Valdinievole is a region in Tuscany that combines scenic beauty, ancient history, and genuine traditions. Situated between Lucca, Florence, and Pisa, it serves as a meeting point between the plains and the initial heights of the Apennines, featuring cultivated hills, charming stone villages, thermal springs, and vast stretches of untouched countryside.

Just a few minutes from the agriturismo, you can find Montecatini Terme and Monsummano Terme, well-known spa towns celebrated for their therapeutic waters and elegant Liberty-style establishments. Nature enthusiasts can explore the enchanting Grotta Giusti or take a stroll in the Padule di Fucecchio Nature Reserve, the largest inland wetland in Italy, which is home to numerous species of migratory birds.

For those looking to immerse themselves in the region's artistic and cultural heritage, the cities of Florence, Lucca, Pisa, and Siena are easily accessible, offering countless opportunities for exploration through art, architecture, and culinary traditions. Lesser-known places like Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo, or Collodi, associated with the tale of Pinocchio, also enrich the region with their unique charm.

This area is also ideal for food and wine tours, with olive oil mills, wineries, farmers' markets, and local festivals celebrating the deep connection between land and cuisine. Throughout the year, Valdinievole provides an authentic and engaging experience characterized by a slower pace, harmonious landscapes, and warm hospitality.
