Welcome to this small village, old house situated on one of the hills of Valdinievole, surrounded by nature between rows of citrus and olive trees, silence and slow rhythms, between flavors and fine local. Il Borgo degli Agrumi is in the heart of Tuscany a few steps from the history and magic of cities such as Firenze, Siena, Lucca, Pisa and Arezzo, famous spa towns such as Montecatini Terme and Monsummano Terme, the tyrrhenian coast, with places like Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi or Bolgheri, and Liguria coast with the superb Cinque Terre. For children not far from us you will find, in Pistoia, the zoo, the Pinocchio park in Collodi, in Vinci the house and the museum of Leonardo and in Pescia the paper museum with its laboratories.

Il Borgo degli Agrumi is the perfect place for a peaceful holiday, in a landscape of rare beauty and in an area that has managed to keep still intact the ancient tastes, habits and gestures of the Tuscan tradition.

The apartments, almost all in typical Tuscan style, have been completely renovated and the old property, in its entirety, was a former convent.

For guests two recommendations: will be treated as if it were their apartments and in them please do not smoke.

The small pets are welcome (prior agreement with the property).

Possibility of parking on the property (subject to agreement with the property).

Cancellation conditions (except for non-refundable rates)

You may cancel your booking up to 7 days before the check-in date. In the case of failure to show or late cancellation, you will be charged a penalty of 100% of the total cost of the booking

For non-refundable discounted rates, when the facility requires it, the guest must pay in advance as indicated to complete the booking. Payment is not refunded in the event of a cancellation.

Quiet place in a strategic position to visit Lucca, Pistoia, Florence and Pisa. Extremely clean structure, the lady is very kind. We had a small problem solved brilliantly and quickly by the lady. Highly recommended!

We stayed in the Bergamot apartment, very beautiful and well-furnished, very clean, the location of the structure is truly enchanting, if one seeks peace here, they will surely find it, it is close to art and coastal locations, basing ourselves in Uzzano we visited Lucca, Pisa, Pistoia, Collodi, Montecatini, Viareggio and Lido di Camaiore. The owner is very kind and friendly. I highly recommend it.

A wonderful place, with a spectacular view. The apartment is very well-maintained and clean, as well as tastefully arranged. It has a small courtyard with a garden that is ideal for relaxing. The place is very peaceful, in a small but well-kept village. The location is away from the main tourist spots, but close enough to them: many places are reachable within 30 minutes by car. The owner is truly very kind and always ready to respond to every need. The citrus grove, strawberries, and olive trees in the garden complete this enchanting place.

Meravigliosa location inserita in un piccolo borgo medioevale, il giardino con piante di Agrumi bellissimo e rilassante. L'appartamento curatissimo con arredamento che denota buon gusto. La piccola finestra della cucina è un piccolo capolavoro. Un quadro su un panorama mozzafiato che cambia colori con il passare della giornata. La struttura è veramente bella. Per chi ama la tranquillità è l'ideale. Situata all'interno del borgo medioevale ma raggiungibile con l'auto senza problemi. Non ci sono bar, supermercati e osterie intorno, occorre scendere in paese con la macchina, ma questo per me è più un pregio che un difetto. Purtroppo il tempo non ci ha permesso di godere del bellissimo giardino con gli agrumi. La titolare disponibilissima e molto attenta a tutte le necessità. Grazie davvero.

L'appartamento su due piani è delizioso e curato nei minimi particolari, ci si sente subito a casa. La colazione messa a disposizione è tipica italiana e c'è perfino il caffè. La signora Emanuela molto premurosa ci ha salutato il giorno prima della partenza e molto gentilmente ha regalato a mia mamma dei libri che erano nella biblioteca. Così se si trova un libro interessante non si deve interrompere la lettura sul più bello e neppure passare la notte in bianco per finirlo di leggere. Consiglio la struttura a tutti coloro che vogliono abitare in un ambiente elegante e curato nel mezzo di un pittoresco borgo toscano. Sabrina e famiglia.

Ho sostato per una notte in questa struttura per portare la mia nipotina al parco di Pinocchio a Collodi (che dista pochi chilometri). La struttura è ottima, arredata con gusto, ampia in una location attraente. Gentilissima e accogliente la proprietaria. L'alloggio, dotato di una camera ampia, di un soggiorno-tinello, di una cucina abitabile (almeno per due) e di due giardini è veramente piacevole. Conto di tornarci.

Area Collina

The village of Uzzano Castello stands on top of a hill in the northwestern part of Valdinievole valley, between the towns of Pescia and Buggiano. Its strategic location has always played a major role in its history, in that it enabled to control all the valley below and the surrounding villages.
Though the first written records of Uzzano date back to 960 AD, its original settlements date back to the Lombard period.
Previously a dominion of the municipality of Lucca, in 1339 Uzzano fell under the municipality of Florence, which marked the beginning of its flourishing.
A few years before the unification of Italy, Uzzano, as well as Valdinievole valley, came back under the jurisdiction of Lucca, which in turn became a province of the new Italian state.
The village’s monuments testify its ancient history: St. James’ and St. Martin’s Church, the Oratorio della Misericordia overlooking the valley, the Oratorio of St. Anthony of Padua, the Oratorio of the Madonna del Canale, the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo. Outside the village, about 2 km along a road hugging the valley, lies La Costa, a tiny village near Uzzano, where a beautiful church in Romanesque style dedicated to St. Bartholomew and St. Sylvester is located.
