Nestled in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, Agriturismo Il Laghetto in Alberese is an authentic destination for a relaxing, active getaway filled with flavors. Surrounded by 15 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, and meadows, it is just a few minutes from the beach at Marina di Alberese and the wonders of the Uccellina Natural Park, offering guests privileged access to unspoiled nature through horseback riding, cycling trails, canoeing, and birdwatching.

This family-run establishment has been managed with dedication by Stefano, Ombretta, and their children, Veronica and Matteo, for over twenty years. Genuine hospitality is paired with a strong commitment to the environment: the agriturismo is self-sufficient, powered by a 20 kW photovoltaic system and a solar thermal installation. The use of plastic has been completely eliminated in line with a sustainable philosophy recognized by the “Park Brand.”
Accommodations include 11 apartments and 2 triple rooms, all located on the ground floor with independent entrances, air conditioning, private bathrooms, and outdoor verandas with tables and chairs. Guests can enjoy a relaxing pool area, a covered barbecue, a children's playground, bicycles, and free Wi-Fi. There is also a shared washing machine available.

Breakfasts, rich and wholesome, are among the most cherished moments of the stay: homemade jams, tarts, bomboloni, pizza, and local products are lovingly prepared each morning, showcasing the culinary traditions of Maremma and making each day start off wonderfully.

Awarded 5 Sunflowers, the highest recognition for Italian agriturismos, Il Laghetto is also an ideal base for visiting the Saturnia hot springs, the tuff cities like Pitigliano, and the islands of Giglio and Giannutri. Its location between Grosseto, Argentario, and Castiglione della Pescaia makes it perfect for those looking to explore the most authentic side of Tuscany without sacrificing the comfort and warmth of a true country home.

Hey, I'm Ombretta

Leading the Agriturismo Il Laghetto with passion is Stefano's family, who, along with his wife Ombretta and their children Veronica and Matteo, wholeheartedly dedicates themselves to hospitality and farming. Stefano manages the agricultural business, personally overseeing the vineyards and olive groves, while Ombretta is the heart of the kitchen, supported by a trusted cook. Veronica and Matteo represent the new generation, raised with the values of traditional farming and eager to continue the project with enthusiasm and vision. A constant presence, Grandma Franca welcomes guests with her simplicity, embodying the authenticity of life in Maremma.

Area Mare

The area surrounding Agriturismo Il Laghetto in Alberese is one of the most captivating spots in the Maremma region of Tuscany, where unspoiled nature, history, and culture come together to create a landscape of extraordinary beauty. We are located within the Maremma Natural Park, also known as the Uccellina Park, a protected region that stretches across hills covered in Mediterranean scrub, oak forests, and olive groves, overlooking the sea with long, wild, and pristine beaches.

Just a few minutes from the agriturismo, you can reach Marina di Alberese, one of the most picturesque beaches in Tuscany, sheltered by dunes and pine forests, accessible only to a limited number of visitors to preserve its natural balance. Here, you can relax in the sun, swim in crystal-clear waters, or stroll along the shore in an almost surreal silence, broken only by the sounds of nature.

The Park features an extensive network of trails and excursions that can be enjoyed on foot, by bicycle, on horseback, or in a carriage, taking you through stunning landscapes where you can encounter the local wildlife: wild boars, deer, foxes, herons, and ospreys. Particularly enchanting are the guided night tours, which allow you to experience the park under a starry sky.

The location is also strategic for exploring other wonders of the Maremma: in less than an hour, you can reach the Saturnia Thermal Springs with its natural hot waters, as well as the charming tuff towns of Pitigliano, Sovana, and Sorano, perched on rocky outcrops and steeped in history. The coast offers the opportunity to set sail from Porto Santo Stefano to the islands of Giglio and Giannutri, perfect for days of sea adventures and exploration.

With its combination of sea, hills, medieval villages, and nature trails, the Alberese area is the perfect destination for those who wish to immerse themselves in the authentic beauty of the wilder and truer Tuscany.
