Le Forri Agriturismo and B&B welcomes guests on the hills of Pistoia, in Valdibrana, surrounded by a typically Tuscan landscape shaped by woodlands, olive groves, and expansive green areas. It offers a cozy and peaceful setting, perfect for those looking to slow down, spend a few days in nature, and experience the genuine atmosphere of a family-run farmhouse.

The establishment is the result of the dedication of two generations working together with a focus on hospitality and promoting the local area. Michele, who recently took over from his parents after more than ten years of operation, personally manages the welcoming, the agriturismo’s day-to-day activities, and park maintenance, preserving the family-oriented character of the property while combining it with modern attention to guest comfort.

The accommodations feature different ambiances designed to meet various travel needs: from the intimate "Piccolo Nido," suitable even for short business stays, to the more refined "La Romantica," to the "Dependance," ideal for families and small groups, and the distinctive "Horse Room," characterized by a rustic style. Rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, TVs, minibars, Wi-Fi, wardrobes, and towels; some also offer a patio with views of the surrounding landscape and mountains. The premises are non-smoking.

During the warmer months, the outdoor pool becomes one of the most enjoyable spots on the property: nestled in greenery and surrounded by the tranquility of the countryside, it invites guests to relax between excursions and visits to Tuscany’s art cities. The outdoor space also includes a large garden and free private parking.

A significant part of the Le Forri experience is dedicated to cuisine. Paolo leads the restaurant, offering a gastronomic approach rooted in Tuscan tradition but interpreted creatively, alternating between land and sea specialties. The menu ranges from classic platters of cured meats, cheeses, and crostini to pici pasta, tortelli, and meat dishes, accompanied by risottos, pasta, fish, and seasonal offerings. A particularly notable ingredient is the organic extra virgin olive oil produced by the family, symbolizing the agriturismo’s connection to the land. The bar also offers the chance to enjoy aperitifs during relaxing moments.

Breakfast is also designed to offer freedom of choice. In addition to buffet items such as yogurt, cereals, fruit, butter, and jams, the menu includes savory and hot dishes like eggs and bacon, sandwiches, toast, and stuffed focaccia. Traditional Italian sweets such as croissants, braided pastries, and apple cake are also available, paired with classic hot and cold beverages from the coffee bar.

The location allows guests to stay in the peaceful hills without missing the opportunity to reach Pistoia and other towns in northern Tuscany. Pistoia train station is about 15 km away, while Montecatini Centro station is approximately 23 km distant. Le Forri thus serves as a pleasant base to alternate days dedicated to exploring the region, culture, and cuisine with moments of genuine relaxation amidst the olive groves and woods.

Area Collina

Le Forri Agriturismo and B&B is located in Valdibrana, nestled on the hills surrounding Pistoia, in an area where the urban landscape quickly gives way to the Tuscan countryside. Woodlands, olive groves, and lush hills provide a serene setting ideal for those seeking peace and wishing to alternate between relaxing in nature and exploring art cities, charming villages, and thermal resorts.

Pistoia serves as the main cultural hub of the region. Its historic center, compact and pleasant to explore on foot, preserves a rich artistic heritage. The Cathedral Square forms the city's monumental heart, dominated by the Cathedral of San Zeno, the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Corte, the Bishop’s Palace, and the Town Hall. Walking through the streets of the center, one can also find churches, historic buildings, artisan shops, and lively squares filled with cafes and bars, offering an authentic atmosphere that is generally less crowded than the more famous Tuscan destinations.

The location on the Pistoian hills also allows visitors to experience the more natural side of the area. Secondary roads and green trails lead through small villages, forests, and cultivated fields, providing plenty of opportunities for walks, hikes, and outdoor activities. The Pistoian mountains further expand options for nature lovers, with routes that cross Apennine landscapes, forests, and villages with a strong local identity.

Among the most interesting excursions is Montecatini Terme, a historic thermal spa town known for its elegant architecture and expansive green spaces. From there, it is possible to reach Montecatini Alto, an ancient hilltop village offering wide views over the Valdinievole valley. Nearby, Pescia with its historic center and Collodi, famous for its connection to Pinocchio and the historic Garzoni Garden, are also worth a visit.

Pistoia’s position in northern Tuscany also makes it easy to plan trips to some of the region’s most important art cities. Florence is a natural choice for a day devoted to museums, monuments, and Renaissance architecture, while Lucca invites visitors to stroll along its famous city walls and through its historic streets. Prato, with the Emperor’s Castle, the Cathedral, and its artistic and textile traditions, can also be easily included in an itinerary exploring the area.

Those wishing to venture to higher altitudes can spend a day in the Pistoian Mountains and the Apennine localities. Abetone is one of the best-known destinations: in winter it attracts snow sports enthusiasts, while in milder months it becomes a starting point for walks and excursions amid forests and mountain scenery.

The region also offers many opportunities to explore Tuscan culinary traditions. Taverns, restaurants, farms, and local producers allow visitors to discover cured meats, cheeses, rustic dishes, and seasonal specialties, along with the extra virgin olive oil that characterizes the hills of the area.

Staying at Le Forri thus offers the chance to choose a different experience each day: visiting Pistoia’s historical heritage, exploring art cities, discovering the villages of Valdinievole and the thermal spas, or simply remaining on the hills, enjoying the greenery, tranquility, and relaxed pace of the Tuscan countryside.
