At the foot of the hills of Montecarlo, Locanda Il Fornello is a historic bed and breakfast set in a landscape of vineyards, olive groves, and agricultural traditions. The farmhouse, built in the 1950s to accommodate farmworkers, retains the simple and genuine charm of a bygone era, surrounded by neatly cultivated fields that stretch to the railway.

Its strategic location allows for easy access to Lucca, Pisa, Pistoia, Florence, and the coast, thanks to its proximity to the highway, making it an ideal starting point for exploring Tuscany. The residence, with its open view to the southwest, has been preserved in its original style, maintaining a strong connection to its agricultural heritage.

During the warm season, breakfast is served in the garden, providing guests with a peaceful moment immersed in greenery. Inside the establishment, there is also the typical “Il Fornello” tavern, where chef Gabriele presents dishes from the Tuscan tradition, creatively reinterpreted to please even the most discerning palates.

The six rooms of the bed and breakfast, decorated in harmony with the rustic style of the farmhouse, offer a cozy and familial atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy relaxing moments by the private pool, nestled among the vineyards and olive trees.

Next to the inn, a wine cellar welcomes lovers of Tuscan wine and oil with tastings and local products, which are also available for purchase. Here, one can indulge in an aperitif in an authentic setting, surrounded by the aromas and flavors of the land.

Often, you may have the pleasure of encountering some wild rabbits that come to visit us! After enjoying breakfast, you'll be ready to embark on your adventure. Upon your return, you will find our pool waiting for you, nestled in greenery: a true oasis of peace. Relax and treat yourself to an aperitif or a glass of our wine in the garden!

The Tuscan Restaurant Osteria Il Fornello, located in Marginone Altopascio along the Mammianese road, is a corner of genuine culinary tradition where local flavors meet the freshness of the sea. The kitchen, passionately overseen by chef-owner Gabriele Giuliani, a native of Pescia, is known for its high-quality ingredients and a perfect balance between taste and price.

Nestled in greenery at the foot of the Montecarlo hill, the establishment welcomes guests in spacious air-conditioned dining rooms and a charming outdoor summer garden, providing the ideal setting for ceremonies, events, business lunches, and casual à la carte dinners.
