The Agriturismo Palazzi del Papa is located in the heart of the Lucciola Bella nature reserve, surrounded by an unspoiled landscape where history and tradition blend to create an authentic experience. The farmhouse, built in the 1930s by Marchese Origo on the remnants of an ancient inn, is now part of the Nardi Enzo Agricultural Company and features five apartments and two rooms, all renovated with great attention to quality and the aesthetics of rustic art. The interiors retain their original charm, with wooden beam ceilings, antique furniture, and fully equipped masonry kitchens, ensuring a comfortable stay steeped in tradition. Free Wi-Fi is available for guests.

The agricultural estate spans approximately 200 hectares cultivated with cereals and wheat, primarily intended for raising the prized Chianina breed, which is the main activity of the estate. The vineyards yield an excellent DOC Orcia red wine, which guests can taste during their stay. Additionally, visitors can tour the farm and observe the Chianina cattle up close, as well as farm animals like chickens, ducks, and rabbits, providing an immersive experience in rural life.

Hey, I'm Enzo & Sabrina

Enzo and Sabrina, along with their beloved daughter Martina, are excited to welcome you to their farm and share their story through unique experiences. Get ready for a captivating tour of the farm, led by Martina, who will share the sustainable farming practices their business employs and take you on a journey through their well-kept fields, livestock, organic garden, and cellar, revealing interesting facts and details about each product. At the end of the tour, you will be welcomed into the spacious kitchen, where, around the traditional Nardi family table, you will have the chance to learn how to prepare some of the most delicious dishes from Tuscan cuisine, following ancient recipes passed down through generations. As the scents of a freshly baked cake, slow-cooked ragù, and the pasta you made fill the air, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in farm life and apply your newfound knowledge by creating dishes that celebrate the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Once the cooking is complete, you can relax in the family garden and enjoy the delights you prepared, sipping on a nice glass of wine. This will be a multi-sensory experience, allowing you to touch, smell, and taste the ingredients from our land. An authentic immersion in the beauty of nature awaits you!

Area Campagna

Nestled in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Agriturismo Palazzi del Papa serves as an ideal starting point for exploring a region of timeless beauty. Located approximately 15 km from Pienza, the Renaissance town established by Pope Pius II, the property enjoys a strategic position between Val d'Orcia and the fertile Valdichiana, areas renowned since Roman times for their production of olive oil, wine, and grain.

The region offers endless opportunities for exploration, from nature walks along the Via Francigena, which traverses the southern part of the Siena province, to visits to historic villages such as Pienza, Monticchiello, Radicofani, and Trequanda. Art and culture enthusiasts can easily reach cities like San Gimignano, Orvieto, Todi, and Assisi, as well as the enchanting abbeys of San Galgano, Sant’Antimo, and Monte Oliveto Maggiore, set in breathtaking landscapes.

The nature of Val d'Orcia is a perfect blend of harmony and authenticity: rolling hills dotted with cypress trees and ancient farms alternate with stretches of vineyards and olive groves, creating postcard-worthy scenery. Outdoor enthusiasts can traverse the trails by bike or on horseback, winding through woods, cultivated fields, and striking clay formations known as calanchi, shaped by time.

Local gastronomy is another significant treasure of the region. Here, one can savor specialties such as Brunello di Montalcino, Nobile di Montepulciano, and DOC Orcia, paired with local delights like Pienza pecorino cheese, Florentine steak, and durum wheat pasta from Val d'Orcia. A journey through this land means immersing oneself in the authentic flavors of Tuscan tradition, surrounded by a landscape that has successfully preserved its historical and cultural identity.
